Notes
Hello everyone!
A few weeks back I was asked by Jeff Berwick of The Dollar Vigilante and Anarchapulco, to submit a proposal to DASH for Gold Sponsorship of Anarchapulco 2018.
Given the popularity of DASH among ancaps, the speech I gave in 2016 (Which is my most viewed crypto video) and the general ideological alignment between DASH and the Anarchapulco conference community, it seems to me like an obvious fit. The price tag is also quite low.
Here’s what the Gold Sponsorship offers.
Gold (max 5) $3,500
Includes: 2nd level branding on all Anarchapulco materials including website, signage and videos, sponsor table, attendee email list – 4 passes for employees or friends
The Gold sponsorship is the highest under Plantinum which has already been bought out. https://anarchapulco.com/sponsors/
We made a pre-proposal on the DASH forum and it got 95% approval! That’s 22 votes for and 1 against.
Here’s the full thread.
https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/pre-proposal-dash-to-sponsor-anarchapulco-2018.16788/
It’s time now to vote with your masternode please do!
We’ll be paying close attention to the thread bellow and that forum thread. Let’s make this happen!
Looking forward to meeting some of you at Anarchapulco 2018.
Best Wishes,
Juan Galt.

InstantKarmaFund.org Presents THE #DASH4Nigeria PROJECT https://i.imgur.com/GaFCQpy.jpg TL;DR: This is a comprehensive approach to maximizing Dash adoption in Nigeria, addressing all necessary factors to establish a continuously-growing user-base All events will be recorded and documented with pictures and/or video. DASH adoption in Nigeria is currently on a steady rise that this proposal will accelerate. The action plan of this proposal will result in the About the Proposal Owner: https://dash-africa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Nathaniel-Luz-e1509686338822.jpg Nathaniel Luz (discord “rotc”) is the contractor of this proposal and is a Certified Creativity Strategist, Events Planner, Social Entrepreneur and Pre-Proposal Discussion Link: BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES 1.DASH EXCHANGES Due to previous outreach, there is some knowledge about DASHin Nigeria, however, there is a need for more exchanges to meet the current and There are exchanges online, but several newbies prefer to just place a call, transfer some fiat to the seller’s bank account and receive 2.AFRICAN DASH SCHOOL At the recently concluded DASH outreach, participants were eager to learn more about DASH. In the past, we’ve carried out follow-up The contents and presentations of this school would be created and streamlined for the Nigerian audience. The bilingual mode would enable us to cater to a larger English-speaking African audience. There are more than a dozen African countries where English is an official language. These include Zimbabwe, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa, and Nigeria. The population of English-speaking Africans is 380M+. 3.MERCHANT ORIENTED MEETUPS Many merchants are ready to begin transacting in the DASHeconomy. However, we need to provide a bit more education for them as to allay 4. CONTINUOUS MEETUPS The need for more outreaches cannot be over-emphasized. We’d continue holding meetups all over the country. 5.PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS We will partner with organizations who share the same ideology with us and speak at their events. We will do presentations to the audience 6. DASH NIGERIA CONFERENCE All activities above will be crowned with a major outreach presentation at the end of the month in Lagos, Nigeria’s capital of trade. The outreach would have a conference with about 100 Budgetary Items: Total is 45 DASH* About InstantKarmaFund InstantKarmaFund was founded by “djcrypto” on the Dash forum and slack. TLDR: MyDashWallet.org is a successful proposal (with 86% yes votes) developed in early 2018 that is seeing a lot of use in the past months (see below for stats, a lot of mixing, tipping, creating wallets, sending Dash thoughout the world). We would like to continue development with a ton of new features requested by the community and from our wishlist: Unconfirmed Tx Support, Translations into 9+ Languages, Own Blockexplorer, Swapping Dash for BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, Better Trezor Support, many more Bot commands, Gamification, Trustless Tipping, Custom Settings for PrivateSend Mixing, a simple installer to get MyDashWallet hosted on your own server and/or connecting to your own Dash Full Node and many more improvements.
Cost: ~20 Dash/month for 3 months.
Stats
MyDashWallet usage has really increased exponentially in the past months and we plan to improve site performance and add more detailed analytics without impacting user privacy:
Website Stats from the past 30 days (most of it in the last 1-2 weeks, in March we had less than 10% of these numbers)
Hits: 63996
Pages visited: 27066 (mostly main page as it contains all javascript, other pages are just help)
Average response time: 0.9s (until site is fully loaded for the end user, we plan to optimize some things here)
Total Sessions (unique users): 5758
Tips started of strong and whenever Dash price went up, we saw less tipping activity, now with a low price more tipping (strange world)
282 people have active tipping accounts (Discord, Twitter, Reddit)
174 tips have been send out so far
Mixing was initially just a simple feature (checkbox) when sending Dash from MyDashWallet and now is one of the major activities of our users it seems:
711 PrivateSend tx were send through MyDashWallet.org
1507.463 DASH has been mixed for those PrivateSend tx, you can always see whats going on with our Mixing Pool in the header of https://mydashwallet.org/
1899 Normal tx were send through MyDashWallet.org
1158 addresses have received Dash, we don’t know how many MyDashWallet wallets are created as this happens locally and is never communicated
Proposal
We have ton of ideas from the initial proposal, more new own ideas and a lot of feedback from users. We think now is a good time to kick it into the next gear. This is our current list of improvements planned for the next 3 months:
MyDashWallet has its own block explorer now and we can finally support unconfirmed amounts, also we don’t have to wait for tx or addresses to appear anymore as our block explorer can directly show the latest state: https://mydashwallet.org:3001/insight/
Easier tipping without having to wait for confirmations, Trustless Tipping to directly send from hardware wallet to the recipient, merging social accounts with existing hardware or MyDashWallet keystore wallets
Bot Improvements for Twitter, Reddit and most importantly Discord: Improvements to tipping, rain and other existing commands, adding mini games and community focused features like: Dice Betting Games, Lottery, Voting, CoinFlip, Russian Roulette, Contests. We think through gamification a lot of new people can be brought in and spending small amounts like 0.1 mDASH can quickly get people hooked if there is ways to play around with it.
The Mixing site is used a lot and we have seen a ton of mixing requests in the past days, this will be a focus for MyDashWallet#2, here we plan provide multiple nodes to increase mixing speed and to allow users to customize the number of mixing rounds (2-8, more will have higher fees) and also the ability for users to abort mixing in whatever round it currently is in and send out the pending Dash to the target address as some mixing events have taken days because of the huge demand we have seen recently.
Swapping Dash for other coins like BTC, BCH, ETH or LTC, we have a partner providing us with low fees (much lower than Shapeshift or Changelly) and can provide a much better and easier way to exchange any supported coin to and from Dash
Better TREZOR Hardware Wallet Support, also for the new TREZOR Model T. Things work, but Ledger support is much better right now on MyDashWallet due to native javascript implementation, for Trezor a high level api is used and a popup is shown, there are some limitations for InstantSend and low fees, we can do better with a custom low level javascript library.
A simple installer to get MyDashWallet hosted on your own server and/or connecting to your own Dash Full Node, this has been requested many times and some users are already running their own version of the website and changed the connection the node, but for non-technical persons it is too difficult, this simple installer will make it possible for anyone.
And of course ongoing work, integrating the new Dash logos and identity plus support for any user issues (which runs quite smooth right now).
Translations to all major languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, maybe Chinese, Korean, Russian and others if we find good cheap translators)
Native Android and iOS wallets utilizing MyDashWallet.org (either as a native app hosting the website or some other way, we have developed 10+ native apps on Android and iOS and are very familiar with it)
InstantSend Block Explorer support, so you see right away that InstantSend tx have 6 confirmations
Probably many more features that come up during development (see pre-proposal ideas for more, we only written down things here we can deliver to completion)
Pre-Proposal thread with lots of likes and thumbs up from users and known Dashers
Previous Pre-Proposal thread with additional details
Costs (Dash is currently at around ~$400):
20 Dash/month for 3 months (~$8000/month to fund our dev team)
5 Dash proposal fee reimburstment
1 Dash (plus a few more from us and active community members) are reserved for contests, lottery, games and getting many more users into Dash
Any funds left over due to Dash price appreciation will be put into continued development and more Dash for contests, new users, lottery, tipping and community involvement
Team
Our team has been working professionally in the game industry for the past 15 years released about 20 Games for PC, Console, iOS, Android and Web. For about 1.5 years we have been involved in cryptocurrencies as well and have completed several projects. We have 3 full time developers dedicated to the project, 1 artist and 1 support/test person helping out. Plus we will be working together with translators and others as needed.

Honestly very impressed with the development skills of the team and I think they would continue to do a good job delivering on new features.”
@TheDesertLynx: “Yes, very much in support of this, and 20 Dash per month is pretty cheap and easy. Should be a no-brainer.”
@strophy (admin Dash Core Team): “Really great to see a community project like this launch and gain traction so quickly and successfully!”
@MarOku: “I tried the PrivateSend (Mixing), create and import keystore and import private-key. All worked excellent.” “MyDashWallet is a really great and impressing service! ”
@splawik21: “splawik21: !tip 0.01234567 @DeltaEngine for fixing stuff ;)” (he is besides mastermined probably the heaviest tipper, get on his good side ^^)
Some emails asking about tx or privateSend clarifications: “Thank you very much!!!” “thank you very much operatively” “Thanks for the quick help, you should ask your boss about a raise” …
Closing
We like to thank the outstanding support by the masternodes for voting us in last time and giving us the opportunity to work on such a fun project and providing many nice tricks and tips. Also our users have been very happy and provided us great bug reports early on, plus known community members like TheDesertLynx or splawik are using our site and services a lot and provided great insight for heavy users and what we need to focus on next. By providing this free service we continue to get new users introduced quickly into the Dash world by receiving their first small amount.

This proposal is cross-posted from https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-core-team-compensation-july.38534/
Background
Most of the information covered below was provided in last budget cycle’s compensation proposal. The only drastic change versus that proposal is the increase in requested funding ($600,000 in this proposal versus $360,000 in last month’s proposal). As communicated previously, the need for this increase is three-fold:
1) Our current run-rate including benefits and targeted salary increases is ~ $430,000 monthly.
2) To onboard our international subcontractors to the professional employment organization we need to provide an upfront deposit representing 2 months employee benefits/salary due to laws and regulations governing employee termination. We expect to incur an upfront expense of $80,000 in July as we begin the onboarding process for some of our international subcontractors.
3) We have an urgent need to rebuild a buffer in the Core Team Compensation budget to account for potential Dash volatility. We will continue to request funding above the run-rate until our compensation budget has 2-3 months of funding built into it. We will also start the practice of converting some of our Dash into fiat in this particular budget line going forward. The buffer requested for this budget cycle is $90,000.
What does this proposal fund?
This proposal funds the Dash Core Group’s ongoing compensation costs – including all developers, administrative, and support staff – at market rates for base pay, including some benefits which we are now beginning to roll out as certain contractors are converted to employee status. By extending employment and benefits to our key contributors, we aim to improve the sustainability of working for the Dash Core Group by providing compensation and benefits commensurate with the market. Providing these benefits greatly improves retention and provides a more stable workforce to the network.
The run-rate has increased in the past few months and we expect it to increase further due to a number of factors including:
a) Extending benefits to staff that are transitioning from contractors to permanent employees of Dash Core Group Inc.
b) Increase in the total number of employees/subcontractors as open positions are filled
c) Targeted salary increases for employees and subcontractors to align with market rates including adjustments to account for blockchain experience
d) New administrative costs charged by our global employment, payroll, and benefits provider for servicing employees
If you have any questions, please direct them to @glennaustin in this Dash Forum post to ensure we are notified of your request.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 2nd budget cycle:
· 1,889.97 Dash for core team compensation ($600,000 USD @ $317.446 per Dash)
· 5.00 Dash proposal reimbursement
Total: 1,894.97 Dash
Note: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward future compensation expenses.

This proposal is cross-posted from https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-core-team-conferences-travel-july.38561/ Over the second half of 2018, Dash Core Group (“DCG”) would like funding to participate in a number of conferences as well as for general company travel. The conferences portion of this includes organizing an exclusive Dash conference (similar to last year, which was a resounding success), ensuring a presence at Money 20/20 China (November 2018) and participating in a handful of smaller conferences. General company travel includes the cost of traveling to: 1) conferences; 2) client-facing meetings with strategic partners and institutions; 3) internal travel for team members to meet face-to-face to align and execute on strategy. As previously communicated, DCG was initially going to request between $200,000 and $250,000 in funding in order to make a significant contribution toward upcoming conferences (early bird sponsors/registrants typically get discounts and savings off of the list price). However, even this amount wouldn’t have covered our anticipated costs given that the price of the Dash conference, for example, was ~$330,000 last year. The current conferences and travel budget is completely depleted if we take into account our current assets (including the budget proposal that was just funded) versus committed liabilities. Given the budget constraints this month, we have decided to request $125,000 to fund our conferences and travel budget. This will allow us to cover general travel expenses for Dash Core Group Inc. employees and subcontractors, and to start making commitments towards the execution of the planned conferences. We have decided to delay posting a request for significant funding until our conferences strategy is fully planned to avoid disrupting the Dash budget at this time. At some point in the near future, when the costs of the various conferences are more defined or when the current pressure on the budget is alleviated, we will come back to the network to request additional funding. If you have additional questions, please direct them to @fernando Requested funding is as follows for the July 2nd budget cycle: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward future conference expenses. |

Dash Core Group October 1st Funding Proposals Note: Over the past 2 months finance has worked on managing, calculating and optimizing our tax liability. We identified a number of opportunities to lower our tax burden during that time and validated those opportunities with tax experts. We developed legal arguments to enable certain tax treatments of assets and transactions that lowered our estimated tax obligations. Ian Rawluk, who recently joined the finance team, was instrumental in driving the effort over the finish line. As a result of these efforts, we will not need to submit a 3rd tax proposal related to the first quarter of fiscal 2019. We expect our current tax funds to be sufficient to cover us through both fiscal year 2018 and fiscal year 2019. This Proposal If you have already read one of the other compensation proposals please skip to the section titled “What does this specific proposal fund?”. The next two sections are duplicated in all three compensation proposals. Note on DCG Compensation Proposals This Month The compensation proposal from April 2017 stated that: “Core team salary proposals have been highly supported by the network. In fact, in last month’s budget, the least-supported of these proposals received 989 “yes” votes to only 20 “no” votes. Continuing to break out individual budgets is time-consuming, costs additional resources (proposal costs), and seems to add little value given the current level of support for these expenses. If in the future more than 10% of the votes cast for core team salary are “no”, I can solicit feedback on what the network would like separately voted upon, and attempt to provide the requested additional granularity in future budget cycles.” Link: https://www.dashcentral.org/p/core-salaries-201704 This month we will be providing the network with 3 compensation proposals in order to fulfil our promise to provide additional granularity. Those 3 proposals will consist of: 1) Developers & Operations, 2) Administration, 3) Business Development / Marketing / Customer Support. If all three of these proposals pass we will no longer provide granular proposals for the remainder of 2018. There are numerous reasons for not providing granular proposals in the future: Background Common To All 3 Compensation Proposals As the price of Dash declined into the $130s at one point in August, several actions were taken to reduce our run-rate to ensure we can abide by these thresholds. Specifically: We have two primary goals when we manage our compensation account. First, we need to ensure that our run-rate is sustainable at current prices. Second, we must build up a sufficient buffer that serves as protection against a prolonged period of time were the price of Dash stagnated in the low to mid- $100s or below. We continue to build our buffer each month, but our current projected “buffer” for September will be ~$270,000 – which doesn’t even cover the compensation liability we will incur in September. What does this specific proposal fund? This is additional granularity related to the administration department: * Defined as contracts permitting staff to bill up to 40 hours a week We are asking for run-rate funding of $80,000 as well as a buffer of 25% to account for price fluctuation and continue building our compensation account. The total funds requested are $100,000. Requested funding is as follows for the October 1st budget cycle: Note: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward future compensation expenses. |

While v12 enabled budgeting and removed the reference node, our donation system was rendered inoperable by the latest version. The donation feature was supporting many of our developers, so we would like to replace that income stream with a more permanent solution that does not rely on altruism. Working on Dash should come with some incentive, like receiving some money from the blockchain every month. However, we don’t want to micromanage an open source project and we feel we have a highly trustworthy team. The way we plan on using the core team budget is to simply split it between all team members. To be a paid team member, one simply needs to agree to our pledge. The pledge is To work on Dash each and every day to expand and improve the ecosystem to the best of my ability?. Whatever someone feels they can contribute to the project is fine, as long as they meet that minimum amount of work. This includes anyone, with any skillset (software, q&a, automation, admin, marketing, legal, etc). Beyond this obligation, it’s up to the person how much they work on Dash and how much they are able to earn from the project. We will be 100% transparent about who on our team is paid and how much they are paid. As defined, a core team member is someone that has made the above pledge to work on Dash everyday. That person then has the freedom to work on Dash as much as they wish to expand their earning potential. We believe in transparency when it comes to the administration of a decentralized product such as Dash, so we will make this data available on one of the websites for the community. I’d like to stress that this compensation is by no means meant to provide a “full-time salary” for contributors. Compensation will be modest. At current market prices, the compensation would fall in the category of token appreciation. It should also be known that our team structure is highly organized. We have professional project managers onboard which are helping monitor and optimize our process. These project managers have pledged to act as objective observers, hold each team member accountable for what they say they will do, and will recommend if some team members are underperforming or for other reasons need to be removed from a paid spot on the team. Some of us will work really hard on Dash (often for 10+ hours a day), because we believe in it and we’re willing to put in the time to make Dash a critical part of the future economy. We believe it’s worth the time to do this. Others have full time jobs, but they like to contribute during mornings, nights, and weekends. This is all great, the more people we can get putting effort into the project the better off we’ll be in the long run. We intend to have 2 kinds of slots for paid team members depending on the amount of time they are willing to commit – part-time and full-time. Full-time slots will offer payment of 2-4x (TBD by the project management team, maybe even a monthly contest?) that of a part-time slot. Team members can switch between the two depending on how much they feel they can offer to the project. This should give us flexibility to provide incentive for development and show appreciation for the work that is being done. We will also encourage team members to hold their Dash they are paid long term. We believe in this project and want all those getting compensated to benefit when we finally succeed, this will help spread the benefit out to those that contribute the most to make it happen. Having lots of people involved with Dash is what makes this successful! If you want to contribute, feel free to ping any of us to join the team. Show full description … |

INTRODUCTION
It is with the bold objective of turning the city of Angra dos Reis into the Brazilian DASH capital that the DASH on the Aquidabã Tennis Open Campaign took place. Of course, this is a middle to long term goal, because a lot must be done in order for it to become a reality. But these are the necessary first steps.
ACTIVITIES
There were four parallel initiatives during this campaign:
The sports event sponsorship in itself;
The disponibillity of the online material on the webpages at www.mercadoDASH.com, www.DASHnegocios.com, and www.DASHpag.com;<br< a=””> />The active contact with merchants, with visits and meetings in their business premises;
A final survey with 10 selected merchants.
ON THE PROMOTION MATERIAL
The Business Cards
Very important for networking, and keeping in touch. It contains a phone number and email address for further contacts, and, most important, the url for the website with more detailed information.
The Flyers
Great for mass distribution. Contains not only the same informations from the business cards, but also many more interesting and attractive slogans and facts, in order to stimulate curiosity about DASH.
The Banners
The idea with the banners is the constant exposure of the DASH brand it allowed during the 40 days they were displayed at the tournament site. Anyone around could see it, and the logo image will be registered in each person’s mind. Nice slogans and key sentences were also there, as great curiosity stimulators. Finally, the DASH related websites’s urls advertised on the banners, drove users into the those internet pages for more info.
The T-shirts
They were shared by all the other sponsors to the event. The best places to put the logo, in my opinion, are on the sleeves. Second option of preference is a big logo at the front. The back part of the Tshirt was for small logos of various different sponsors, sharing the space: it’s cheapear, but is still able to give the logo a good deal of exposure.
The Caps
A nice item. Displays the DASH logo in it’s front, highlighting it. It was made with quality materials, in order that people will want to use it not only in loco, during the tennis open event, but also everywhere, at work, at school, in the streets, at the beach, in shopping malls, etc.
REACHED PUBLIC
Not only the public participating at the tennis open event were reached by this campaign. As a result of the door to door visits to the main merchants in the city of Angra dos Reis, there is a great number of the most varied sort of services and stores.
Here is a list with examples of the kinds of businesses reached:
games store
computers parts and accessories stores
computer repair maintenance stores
computer schools
printing services
stationery stores
coffee shops, delicatessen, bakeries
bars and restaurants
fast food
imported goods, perfums
clothes
beauty parlours
groceries
cable tv and internet provider
bike repair
motocycle store
jeweleries
travel agencies
small hotels, inns
amongst others.
MERCHANTS SURVEY
As a last tool to better assess the possibilities of the city of Angra dos Reis to become the Brazilian DASH capital, 10 of the most important merchants if the city were given a simple questionnaire on their opinion on key subjects.
These were the merchants who were selected to answer the submitted public opinion survey:
Printing services;
Computer parts and repair;
Real estate agency;
Jewellery;
Bodybuilding;
Video Games;
Stationery store;
Chain of fast food restaurants;
Chain of Japanese food restaurants;
Cable TV, telefone and Internet provider;
The results of this survey were an important source of experience. The most important is the fact that the merchants were not confortable answering some of the questions. Some complained that the survey touched two delicate issues, “the banking system” and “the government corruption”. Some merchants have asked for privacy, and to not have their answers identified, and some merchants simply decided not to answer.
There was also one respondent who complained that the questions were proposed in order to allow only one possible answer, biased in DASH favour. Actually, the idea behind the survey was to introduce an “inherent allert” about the subjects that justify the cryptocurrencies (government, financial and banking system problems). So, to be honest, it was actually a “feature” intended for the survey, to be, indeed biased, but always honest, as long as it’s “alert message” is efficiently transmitted.
MAIN VICTORIES
Direct contact with the public (networking)
Introduction of the basic notions which justify the cryptocurrencies (Global financial, banking, etc)
Awareness of the option for a substitution of the fiat-banking system
Monetary and Tributary situation in Brazil as a reason to opt out
Presentation of DASH on a practical way (Mostly by use of the DASH Android wallet)
An advantage to be emphasised, regarding the real life face to face contact is the fact that most part of the people we talk to have no idea that cryptocurrencies exist, allowing them to protect themselves from the injust financial system. Also, there are no “crypto-prejudice”.
MAIN PROBLEMS
The most remarkable problem is fear. Some people’s questions are:
Is it legal?
Is it safe?
Isn’t it too difficult its adoption?
Other worries people demonstrate are:
There are no customers, so there’s no reason I should start accepting it.
Where can I spend it? No businesses accept it around here.
I need fiat money to pay my suppliers.
What about accountancy? How am I supposed deal with it?
And, also, for some people, the idea of an alternative currency sounds like something bordering illegality, or of dubious reputation (like a ponzi scheme, a scam, for example). A solution to overcome this vision is, definitely, by introducing DASH to the people in an environment of SPORTS, of education, or of humanitarian efforts, for instance, so that the dubious reputation is eliminated by the good resulting image.
SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS
For sure, there are many points to be perfected, especially because I had no previous experience in such actions. But from all that I have lived during these days of the campaign, there are two suggestions for improvements that come to mind:
Small, fast and practical open courses on the subject of the cryptocurrencies
There is a great potential of winning good users and merchants if such simple one or two days courses are offered, preferably for free. Such courses would cover the most important philosophical basic justification to the cryptocurrencies, but, most important, they would introduce attendees to the DASH usage in a practical way.
Athletes sponsorship
Maybe better than the sponsorship of specific events, the sponsorship of good young and talented athletes seem to be a very important step towards the successful marketing of the DASH brand. Better yet if DASH does it in different parts of the world, with different sports modalities.
A young, but talented, well selected athlete will not demand high expenses. In return the brand “DASH” will be visible, with the logo exposed in competitions, trainings, TV exhibitions, etc.
FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
Marketing and sports walk hand in hand. The great brands are aware of this, and are always present in sports events.
The most well known and preferred investment on the sports market is sponsorship. And that’s because of its basic characteristic of enhancing the value and positioning of the sponsor’s brand on its target market.
According to estimates from the main marketing companies, the global entertainment sector moves, each year, US$ 1 trillion. From this total, around US$ 360 billion fuel the sports industry (Eduardo Marini. Uma Jogada Bilionária. Isto é. January 5, 2000. </br<>http://www.istoe.com.br/reportagens/30750_UMA JOGADA BILIONARIA )
Sports sponsorship is one of the marketing promotional activities that has developed the most along these last years. The expectations regarding the success of this kind of sponsorship have been exceeded. Estimates show that the amounts invested worldwide in this activity have grown more than a thousand per cent during these last 25 years, reaching the sum of US$ 69 billions in 2010. (Tzanetin. Por que as empresas investem no esporte? FutMKT. April 30, 2012. http://www.futebolmarketing.com.br/2012/colunas-por-empresas-investem-esporte)
“Sponsorship revenues projected by FIFA Brasil 2014 – patrocinadores -are 10% higher than those obtained in the last World Cup in South Africa” (Débora Montesinos. FIFA to reap US $1.4 billion in sponsorship revenues from Brazil 2014. Portada, January 27, 2014. http://latam.portada-online.com/201…lion-in-sponsorship-revenues-from-brazil-2014)

According to Melo Neto (Francisco Paulo de Melo Neto. Administração e Marketing de Clubes Esportivos. Sprint, Rio de Janeiro, 1998) sponsorship presents three basic objectives:sales increasing, brand valorization and empowerment, and the improvement of the company’s communication with its customers and partners. But, in the specific case of sports sponsorship, the main objective is the empowerment of the brands, given the strong appeal that sports exerts on the media, the size of this market, and the gain of reputation by the brand, by associating its name to the athletes, events and teams.
Nowadays there is a huge number of companies which associate their brands to musical, sports, cultural and, more recently, socio-environmental responsiblity events. Sponsorship is one more marketing tool, bringing experience to the consumers, aiming to obtain their loyalty or at least to win their sympathy. (Marcelo Azevedo. Patrocínio: retorno através de visibilidade, vendas e comportamento. Patrocínio & Marketing, August 24, 2009. https://marcelosazevedo.wordpress.c…traves-de-visibilidade-vendas-e-comportamento)
Some benefits brought by sponsorship actions:
Institutional promotion;
Targeted marketing;
Customers loyalty;
Services and products promotion;
To get in touch with opinion leader professionals;
To be recognised as a promoter of ideas and of content;
To generate new mailings;
Tax incentives;
Mass social recognition;
Generation of spontaneous media;
Source: Marcelo Azevedo. Benefícios do Patrocínio. Patrocínio & Marketing, June 10, 2009. https://marcelosazevedo.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/beneficios-do-patrocinio
One of the advantages indicated by Pozzi and Oliveira, regarding sports sponsorship as media, lays in the fact that most part of the messages, during an sports event transmission, reaches a captive viewer, in a moment of relaxation and, therefore, much more receptive to such messages. (POZZI, L.F; OLIVEIRA, M. Patrocine o Evento Certo. Mercado Global. São Paulo, n.99, p.13.15. 1996.)
Sports are a very good investment option, not only for companies, but also to the media, and this is what gives its strong quality of omnipresence. (Ricardo Guilherme Monteiro de Almeida; Profª. Drª. Heloisa Helena Baldy dos Reis. Análise da Relação do Patrocínio Esportivo entre Clube e Empresa no Futebol Brasileiro. Convibra Administração, 2010.http://www.convibra.com.br/upload/paper/adm/adm_909.pdf)
“Considering the huge amounts involved, you would imagine sponsors of athletes and events have clear answers when asked about their return on investment (ROI). You would be wrong. Industry research reveals that about one-third to one-half of US companies don’t have a system in place to measure sponsorship ROI comprehensively.” (Jeff Jacobs. Is sports sponsorship worth it? McKinsey&Company, June, 2014. http://www.mckinsey.com/insights/marketing_sales/is_sports_sponsorship_worth_it)
DASH must link its image with good initiatives, and SPORTS is an important option.

When we prepared for the Netherlands presentation, we used some of our own resources to pay for the professional slides and a banner. The
presentation slides, templates and icons are reusable, so we’ll use them for the December and January conferences (we’ll have some next slides made as well, but that will be much cheaper).
Conference materials cost breakdown structure:
Dash Banner: 100 EUR
Dash PPT presentation template design: 160 EUR
Conference slides: 665 EUR (19 slides makeover (at a cost 35 EUR / slide), finally it was 24 slides, including title slide, agenda and transitional slides).
Icon set with Finance Industry icons: 22 EUR
2 custom icons design: 10 EUR
We have negotiated 10% discount to the initial offer (for the package of services and for the non-commercial organization).

Another recent announcement was made for our appearance at BTC Miami on January 26th! This is going to be our platform for officially showing a
prototype and much more information about work on Dash Evolution.
The Bitcoin Miami event is the place to be for a new and exciting cryptocurrency project like Dash. When we’re not presenting, we would still like the opportunity to reach out to people and teach them about Dash. To achieve this we are looking into exhibit opportunities at BTC Miami to allow us to reach more people at a cost of between $1500-$2000. Any excess funds will be used as part of the public awareness budget.
We (Daniel and I) request that our flights and hotel costs be refunded as follows:
Evan’s flight cost: $350
Daniel’s flight cost: $610
Hotel cost will be approximately $200 a night for each of us, totaling $1200

|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This proposal has served it’s purpose and has been retired in favor of other new projects. Please vote “NO” on this proposal to actively remove it from the payment queue. Thanks! — The core team has already proposed that the funds associated with the Public Awareness budget would be much better spent on accelerating development and on creation of fiat gateways. See the full post from Dashtalk here. Some in the community asserted that – even though people that disagree with the reallocation of resources have the ability to vote the Public Awareness proposal down – it is a bad precedence to set regardless of the fact that 1) we were confident that the community would agree with the change, and 2) most people seem supportive even if they disagree with the process (e.g., “ends justify the means”). So why didn’t we just ask the community to vote out Public Awareness and vote in the new proposal? Several reasons: 1) It would constitute a great deal of collective effort – not just for the core team, but for all the MN owners to go in and down-vote P.A… All for a project that we have a high level of confidence would pass regardless. 2) It would also pose a significant risk that we might not get enough actively downvoted MN votes to kick out the PR budget within the 6 days before the budget finalized. The P.A. budget enjoys lots of support, and sitting at 42% support at the time we made the change, the core team alone couldn’t vote out our own proposal. The ability of a proposal owner to revoke or cancel its own proposal isn’t a function of the first budget system. Without getting it downvoted properly, there could have been unintended consequences (like PR still funding, the new proposal ALSO funding, which could then cause a bunch of other valuable projects to NOT receive funding). 3) The final rationale is that if the core team misjudged the reaction of the community, we are being transparent about the change, so the community is STILL FREE to downvote the PR proposal if it disagrees with how the money is to be spent OR the manner in which we redirected funds. All things considered, we thought this was the better path to take given we are 6 days from budget finalization. However, some community members – while they understood these points and support the change – are still concerned. I had proposed on Dashtalk the idea of putting a “decision proposal” out to the network in lieu of simply the announcement of the proposed change. I think this approach still addresses the “downvote risk” in #2 above, but also ensures that the change can only be made by getting the necessary votes, and not by simply slipping a change through before absent MN owners notice. This should allow us to “make it official” with community support, while reducing the risk of a full downvote of the old and upvote of the new. The reallocation will only occur with the community’s official approval. |

Dash is cool, and more people should know about it. The Daily Decrypt is a Monday-thru-Friday newscast which features all the killer headlines in cryptocurrency and P2P networking. We offer sponsorships to fund ourselves, and this creates a platform for various organizations to get the word out about their projects. Watch this sample episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvN2qHyLwJw Sponsorship of The Daily Decrypt is likely to reach about 3,000 individuals within a week, as a combination of our YouTube, SoundCloud, and FacebookVideo audience. Our viewers are also not casual — they are crypto-savvy and technically literate. PROPOSAL: We propose 10 episode sponsorships take place, starting on January 4 and ending on January 15 of 2016. This would include daily announcement of Dash as sponsor, two incidents of Dash’s logo per show, and 10-15 seconds of messaging each episode. The messaging can and should be varied. We’ll cover features/benefits like: – masternodes |

We are very happy to announce our project to integrate Dash into the Lamassu ATM machines. One of our top priorities from a business development perspective is to improve direct access to our network for end users. We believe crypto ATMs are a great way for regular people to get access to DASH without being adept to crypto-currency online trading and Lamassu has currently the largest number of machines operating around the world of all the manufacturers.
Crypto ATMs will help bring DASH into the everyday life of regular users and increase utility by providing a physical bridge into the network. Dash is partnering with Deginner, a development firm with experience with the Lamassu machiness and the awareness of Lamassu to perform the integration. Support over a longer time frame is required to ensure the integration will be maintained for any changes in Dash or the Lamassu system, for this, Deginner will include a two year support for the integration. Ira Miller, from Deginner, has been instrumental in opening this opportunity for Dash by leading the conversation with the Lamassu team and making sure they are aware of the project.
This is a big project, as one key requirement of the integration is for Dash to be able to be presented to the user side-by-side with Bitcoin, meaning a current BTM operator can continue to offer BTC as he normally does and just expand to also offer DASH as an alternative by selecting an option in the menu if he desires. This means the whole system, including the UI, need to change as it was originally designed to do only BTC. This is critical to make it attractive for existing operators to offer Dash without any disruption to their BTC business or machines, just a menu option where they can activate DASH support at will. Also, for new DASH ATM operators which primary interest is DASH it makes sense to also offer BTC, creating synergies between both networks. The alternative of converting the machines from BTC exclusive to DASH exclusive was not really viable as there would not be a business case for current BTM operators to exclude BTC in favor of DASH at this point in time.
Ira Miller, Deginner founder and CEO, is a developer and entrepreneur working in Bitcoin since 2011, he was part of Bitinstant and founded Coinapult in 2012 with Erik Vorhees, which he sold in 2015. We hope that Ira’s collaboration and support for Dash continues in years to come.
Deginner was founded in early 2015 by former Coinapult CEO and CTO, isysd and g-p-g. The Deginner team has built many cryptocurrency services and apps in the past, and now focuses entirely on open source tools. They developed the lamassu-coinapult trade, wallet, and ticker plugins, and have good relationships with the Lamassu team, as well as many of their operators. If this project is approved, Deginner will ensure it is deployed on at least one network of BTMs, starting with the one in Panama City, Panama.
Special thanks to Minotaur (Head of Business Development for Dash) for making this possible.

Introduction
The Dash project has been growing fast and it has gotten to the point where we feel is important to have professional PR representation with experience in the crypto industry. During the Labitconf conference in Mexico City, we were lucky to meet PR specialist Michael Terpin and had the opportunity to discuss Dash in detail and he was able to see the potential and became interested in working with Dash. Transform PR has been behind many very successful campaigns such as Etherium, Counterparty and Mastercoin.
Counting with the support of industry leaders like Michael willing to work with Dash and help promote it to a larger user base, shows the world Dash is a special project with a lot of potential.
Who is Michael Terpin?
Michael Terpin, CEO and founder of Transform.PR, has nearly 25 years of PR agency management. He has directly supervised many renowned PR campaigns of the digital media era, including early-stage PR for America Online, Earthlink, Jupiter, Motley Fool, Match.com, and Shapeways, as well as full-service campaigns with established brands, including Alpine, AT&T, Diamond Multimedia, Fujitsu, JBL, Konami, Memorex, Philips, Rackspace, Red Herring, and TEAC.
Terpin founded Marketwire, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive international newswires. Originally known as Internet Wire, Marketwire was acquired in April 2006 by Toronto-based media company, CCN Matthews, and is now owned by OMERS Private Equity. Marketwire employs more than 200 people and has annual revenues of more than $100 million, with offices on four continents. In early 2013, Terpin co-founded BitAngels, the first angel network for investors in cryptocurrency startups, which has grown to more than 500 members, completing two dozen investments. He has been a frequent speaker at leading technology and marketing conferences, including Ad:Tech, CES, E3, ETRE, NAB, PRSA and Social Media Week, as well as the vast majority of cryptocurrency conferences globally. He was a finalist in the 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Terpin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from SUNY at Buffalo and a dual Bachelor Degree in Newspaper Journalism and English Literature from Syracuse University. He serves as an advisor to SU’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he was inducted into its prestigious Wall of Fame in October 2000. Terpin is also a private investor and/or board member for several privately held technology start-up companies, and he is chairman of the PR industry digital media company, CommPro Global. He is regularly interviewed by Bloomberg, Entrepreneur, the Wall Street Journal and other leading media, as well as writes about digital asset topics for Barrons, Forbes, CoinDesk and Cointelegraph, among others.

SocialRadius crafts unique, dedicated solutions to each client’s individual requirements. Today, its solutions involve a powerful combination of social network marketing (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+) and social platforms (YouTube, Wikipedia, Tumblr, Quora, Reddit), as well as blog development and content marketing. SocialRadius works with large multinationals as well as smaller entities across a number of industries, and its programs range from strategy and training to full campaign execution. Success stories include the outreach for recording artist will.i.am’s Yes We Can video for the Obama campaign (which won 2008 Emmy, Global Media and Webby awards, as well as a 2009 Clio Gold Lion, garnering 50 million views on YouTube and 500 million traditional media impressions); social media event marketing for Live8, social mobile marketing at LiveEarth, the Green Inaugural Ball and the David Lynch Foundation; and the viral marketing of Scarface School Play for Rockhard Films (3 million views in two days).
What will the campaign be focused on?
This initial three-month campaign seeks to gain a high level of visibility in both the crypto community and the mainstream business and technology press, which is critical to driving new user adoption and demonstrating industry leadership. Through a hyper-targeted, aggressive, yet strategic approach, Transform will initiate the perfect storm of media coverage extending traditional outreach across the crypto, technology, and business verticals.
The goals for our campaign on behalf of Dash include the following:
1. Establish Dash as the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency that is based on Bitcoin software and addresses many of the problems of Bitcoin.
2. Increase understanding of Dash’s digital asset and unique blockchain technology.
3. Raise visibility around Dash’s technological achievements within the crypto community through a steady stream of hard news coverage, as well as begin to penetrate top-tier business and technology media through features and commentary.
4. Substantially increase the visibility of Dash in blogs and/or Web searches throughout the three-month campaign, as well as in social media mentions as a result of this increased coverage.
5. Increase understanding and demand for Dash, resulting in higher volume and price relative to bitcoin.
Investment
Traditional Public Relations Elements
$6,000 per month for Public Relations, Thought Leadership, and Conferences
The Firm’s basic retainer is an estimate of actual hours expected to be billed by the Firm for this campaign, according to the Firm’s standard hourly rate schedule. Client will be notified in advance if total hours are expected to exceed the monthly retainer. Unless otherwise agreed, this retainer is intended as a flat fee.
Expenses: Newswire distribution, if desired, is billed separately and averages about $300 per release. Any long-distance travel in support of trade shows or press tours (involving airplanes and/or hotels) will be paid for by Client, typically in advance. There are no travel expenses where CEO Michael Terpin is already attending a conference and simply shares time among clients and speaking.
What is this proposal for?
This proposal is only asking for partial funding of 1100 DASH for 3 months to complete the required budget as the currently existing PR budget will now be mostly dedicated to this program with Michael for the next 3 months and will cover most of the expenses. Depending on results we expect to continue to collaborate with Transform.PR during 2016.

Instantx Detecting Soda Machine.
Why a vending machine?
————————
Because it shows off InstantX in a real world use point of sale scenario. This can’t be done with any Bitclone(coins that confirm and secure transactions at the same time).
Features
———————–
Ability to refund over/under payments automatically(no return address needed)
Detect InstantX payments
Ability to accept InstantX payments and reject standard payments.
BIP chain address control
Changing address and QR code for each transaction.
Activate relay or output for vending type device/gas pump/etc.
What does it do?
————————
Displays a QR code to send Dash.
If the amount is sent via Instantx and the amount is equal or above the amount needed, it sends the command to credit the machine for 1 beverage.
This is fast – Instant from a human’s perspective.
If the amount is less/over, it instantly returns the change.
If a standard transaction is sent it rejects it and instantly sends it back. (Maybe display “We don’t wait for block confirmations and either should you, InstantX instead!”)
Once a purchase is made, it displays a thank you and rotates the QR code.
This isn’t just a marketing piece. We are designing the software for point of sale. It will enable any new device to easily adapt the github packages. Moocowmoo has done an awesome job with coding all of this. Point of sale is what sets Dash apart form the Bitclones….This is what we need!
Where will this machine debut?

Block Size Limitation Increase

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We would also like to propose we raise the Dash block size limitation to 2MB to prepare for the future growth of the network. We want to know if the stakeholders support this idea. For this, we would like the nodes to vote using our decentralized governance system to make sure we have the community behind us. With the current 1MB block size limit we have approximately 4x the capacity of the Bitcoin project in transactions per second capability, due to the 2.5 minute block spacing and a current 1MB blocksize. With our current limitations our network could theoretically allow nearly 28 transactions per second. We propose a change to a 2MB block size limitation, allowing up to 56 transactions per second. This will allow the currency to grow to approximately 8x the current transactional capacity of the Bitcoin project. It is important to plan for the long term success of the network and future adoption, by making this change we will be ready to scale and also give ourselves ample time to continue research and development to look for additional ways to improve efficiencies of the network. The reason why raising the block size limit is not a centralization concern on our network is because of the full node incentive model. As the volume and usage rise on our network, the profits of the masternode network will also increase, creating excess funding to process the extra bandwidth without losing decentralization. This is in sharp contrast to projects without a full node incentive program, due to the inverse relationship between the full-node count and bandwidth requirements. To implement 2mb blocks and prepare for Evolution, we must take care of some security concerns as well. There is a concern even with 1MB blocks that an attacker could add a transaction that takes 30 seconds to process, with 2MB blocks it’s actually possible to add a 10 minute script to process (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3yulwv/any_examples_of_the_10_minute_script_thats_a/). To close these attack vectors there will be no more “ completely free” transactions in blocks, instead we will use a flat fee per kb when adding transactions to the blockchain that should be negligible for normal usage. This can be done via the spork code, which can set system-wide variables in the code. Once set, all blocks will be subject to this limitation, otherwise will be rejected by the network. As far as determining if this proposal passes, we will consider more yes votes than no votes approval by the network as long as more than 33% of the network votes. If less than 33% of the network votes, we will consider the proposal denied and will not raise the blocksize limitation. If approved, a proper development, testing and deployment process would start before it reaches production. Let’s give Dash room to grow. |

One of the best things that came out of Bitcoin Miami, was an invitation to the Satoshi Roundtable. For those of you that are unaware, the Satoshi Roundtable is an invitation only event that helps those very close to the Bitcoin project to organize and talk about some of the most pressing issues that are happening in the space. We’re really happy to be invited to this event and get some time to chat with the Bitcoin core developers, along with talking to large stakeholders in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Building these relationships will be critical to our long term success as a currency and project. From the core team, Daniel Diaz and Evan Duffield will be attending the event. The tickets were $2450 per person ($4900 total), then $440 for Evan and $660 (not sure yet) for Daniel. Due to the full budget we’ll be spreading out the reimbursement for this over two months. A special thanks goes to Michael Terpin for helping us set this event up. |

Reimbursement Proposal for the Dash N Drink Instantx Miami Demo. The team Put in an original proposal to cover the
costs of this project. We later resubmitted for a lower amount to
expedite payment. There were significant costs associated with
designing, building, transporting, and demonstrating this piece of
awesomeness. You have to admit, it was a hit!
Below are the itemized expenses which will appear on our TPS report.
——————————————————–
Extra show charge for electricity and additional space. $750
Additional expenses for soda machine compressor. $200
Additional expenses for paint, paint gun, and thinner. $200
Parking expenses for vehicle and trailer. $150
Mobile Data Used $100
5 PIs and other parts destroyed during testing. $320
Several burnt up power supplies. $100
Hotel Expenses $430
As you can see, the amount requested does not begin to cover actual expenses. We are fine with this.

I have heard a lot of requests to keep working on something for vendor adoption. Well, now that there are some open budget funds, I would rather get started on the first building block.
One of the ideas with the Vendor Experience was to create a wifi portal to order products. A web portal is a device that you can connect to with a wifi device(a phone for example). When you connect to the portal it forces you to go to a single webpage. Technically, this is called a Captive Web Portal. This is the webpage we will use for ordering.
The web portal will run on a single board computer for our testing. I have picked an Odroid-XU4. I envision this as the first step to the final product which is being able to pay with Dash via the wifi portal at a retail store or even a vending machine directly with a mobile phone.
I have negotiated with a web developer that has a good track record of making websites to help create a website for this project. I expect this to look like a professional ordering website tailored to mobile phone ordering.
The funds will be used for:
Odroid-XU4, antenna, relay board(future projects), and shifter board to convert the Odroid-XU4 outputs to be relay compatible.
Paying for web design services
Engineering required to put all this together.
The result and what will be delivered to the community is:
Step by step guide to build the portal
Website and it’s content
An overview of what it does and how it works
This project completes the first building block. The next phases will implement paying with Dash and interfacing with the mobile wallets to send payments. The final goal will be to use in a retail store with phone UPC scanning and checkout via the Dash Fast Lane.

UPDATE: Keep updated on our progress at our blog or on Twitter Intro To drive adoption of Dash one of the important pieces of infrastructure required is a high quality Dash exclusive payment gateway with instant fiat conversion. Bitpay and Coinbase have been instrumental in encouraging merchants to add Bitcoin as a payment option on their sites. We are proposing to create a high quality Dash to fiat payment processor. The only currency we will accept is Dash. A short presentation to complement the text below is available here. The DashTalk thread can be found here. Demo Visit our website at dartpayments.comwhere you can sign up to our mailing list or click through to our demo site.Dashstickers.xyz is an early working demo of our processing and conversion software. You can purchase two Dash vinyl stickers for only $2. Be aware though this is early software and that you can get in touch with us at . Amount requested vs. costs We propose to request 400 DASH from in each of the next 3 budget cycles. This will provide us with capital to develop a beta version of our software for select merchants to implement on their sites. Costs are very much an open ended question, we’ll build as much as we can with the funds received. We expect to contribute additional funds from our own pockets on top of the DASH we receive from the budget. Note: Amount was chosen when there was still 455 Dash available in the next budget (currently 400 left). Equity to Dash Foundation As this is a for profit business we accept that we should give something back to the Dash community (in addition to building important infrastructure to drive mainstream Dash adoption) in return for funding. For every month of funding we receive we’ll be offering 5% of the business to the Dash foundation (total of 15% should we receive funding for all 3 months). It has been suggested that we give the equity and associated (future) dividends straight back to the network. At this stage we see no technical or legal framework for doing so. We will encourage the Dash foundation to gift the equity to the network if it becomes technologically and legally feasible at some point in the future. Pre-proposal consultation Prior to submitting this proposal to the network we engaged in discussion on DahTalk.org with members of the community to help understand any concerns they have and potential ideas that could be incorporated into the proposal or product. Dash business development head Daniel Diaz (DashTalk username ‘Minotaur’) commented: “I think this is a good project, it is well aligned with our overall goals of facilitating access to the Dash economy and more importantly it would very quickly lead to Dart payments cold calling and selling merchants on accepting Dash. I think we should support initiatives like this that are directed at bringing new businesses into the Dash economy in a very direct way with the possibility of having short term results. This is outward facing and should result in growth, for the modest amount of 1200 DASH over 3 months, I think is something we should all support.” How the system works After a merchant integrates Dart Payments into their site customers will see a “Pay with Dash” button in the checkout. When clicked information about the transaction is sent from the merchant to our database and a payment window/popup appears. Once we receive payment of the Dash to our wallet we send confirmation back to the merchant that it has been On the back end we instantly convert the Dash into fiat currency (using BTC as an intermediary until there is a DASH to fiat exchange with enough volume). Daily deposits of fiat will be made to the merchant’s bank Revenue We expect to charge a flat 1% fee to all merchants. We will likely offer the first $X of transactions fee free to encourage merchants to sign up. There is also the possibility of tweaking our conversion system to make gains on exchange rate movements. Who are we? Long time cryptocurrency enthusiasts with a keen interest in Dash since early 2014. Henry McKay – Commerce student at Monash University in Melbourne Australia. Currently working in Christchurch, New Zealand over the summer. Finance lead for rLoop (SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition entrant). Angus McKay – Recently Completed a diploma of web development. Currently working on various personal projects. There’s not much available online about us, and we value our privacy (like many Dash users). A couple of trusted community members have verified that we are long time Dash users. |

Hello! Everyone, As promised, I’ve gotten multiple interviews from pioneers that came to Anarchapulco. Most of them have their own followings and together they cover a wide spectrum of ideas, topics and interests. The 5 interviews I got were. Roger Ver and Trace Mayer on the Bitcoin blocksize debate and how Bitcoin is or ought to be Governed. (Separate interviews) Barry Cooper – Ex police officer once among the best at busting drug users and drug dealers, turned anty war on drugs activist, famous for trapping cops and revealing them breaking the law. Now is a pro psychodelics anty war on drugs activist. Awesome interview, will be coming out in a week or so. Rick Falkvinge – Yup! The guy from the Pirate Party and the swarm organizational structures. Super cool dude, we hung out on the pool and had some good times. Great interview on Geo politics and cultural warfare. Interview was deeply connected to current ww3 fears and even he expects it to be controversial. Which means popular! And last but not least, Bob Podolsky: This guy is not that famous on his own right, but the content he covers is deep and essential to those interested in personal development, as well as entrepreneurship and the foundational ethics and principles by which to create wealth. You’ll see, it was quite good. So the deal was 40 USD per ad per video. Plus the 5 DASH to make this proposal leaves us at 55 DASH to round it nicely. I’m going to take a shot at getting this into the next cycle, please share! Here’s the first interview with Roger Ver. Ads at the beginning and end of the video. I will update the link from dashpay.io to dash.org for the rest. http://bravenewcoin.com/news/roger-ver-on-who-gets-to-decide-how-bitcoin-moves-forward-2/ Oh yes, last but not least, every video will link at the beginning to the ‘what is dash’ video and at the end to my speech at anarchapulco. Also, any of these marketing strategies can be modified still, so if you have any suggestions, let me know! Best. Juan S. Galt Disruptek.Media Twitter @juansgalt |

Hello,
I’m guessing most of the community is aware that we had a 3-month contract with Transform PR that started last month. This contract was for $6000, denominated in Dash and locked into a rate of $3.38. I believe this contract was going really well and that we were making the correct choice when we originally went with Transform PR. At the end of the first month, some vocal members of the community began lobbying to remove the Transform PR contract from the system while it was active.
I would like to post some evidence of the ongoing work that Transform was doing for us at the time the contract was voided and make some suggestions to alter the system so that we have better communication and we don’t experience problems like this again in the future.
To start, I’m posting the final report from Transform PR, which shows the work they were doing. As you can see, they were the major driver of most of the media attention we were getting during the last month. They were even working with a major mainstream media outlet, Reuters, to publish a story on Dash.
December Transform PR Activity
Proposal For Next Contract
As a decentralized autonomous organization we need to be able to work with outside vendors reliably, so when the network makes a decision to fund a contract, we need to be able to support that decision in an irrevocable way. I believe the budget system failed us and it needs to be altered slightly to support this type of arrangement in the future.
Here are my suggestions for the budget system:
Proposals:
Ordinary one-time or month-to-month proposals will continue to function as they presently do; votes can be changed at any time, which will move these proposals up or down the payment queue (or even disapprove them altogether). These can be thought of as month-to-month contracts, which require ongoing review in order to keep supporting.
Contracts:
These will be an extended version of a proposal, with a minimum voting period of 30 days. During this period of time, an actual, legally binding contract between the vendor (promisor) and a network representative (promisee) should be evaluated. The promisee can be any legal entity which will act as the networks representative (legal firm, foundation, natural person, etc).
After the voting period (minimum of 30 days) has expired, any contracts which have been approved by the necessary number of votes will be paid until their expiration. Contracts, due to their legally binding nature, will be given priority for funding in the new budget system. Regular proposals will be funded by the system after funding is given to contracts.
I propose that the new contract system have a significantly higher voting threshold than ordinary proposals:
3-month contracts must be voted on by at least 20% of the masternode network.
6-month contracts must be voted on by at least 33% of the masternode network.
12-month contracts must be voted on by at least 51% of the masternode network.
Once these minimum voting thresholds are met, contracts will be considered “passed” if at least 51% of the votes cast are “yes” votes.
USD/Dash Denomination:
All contracts and proposals shall be denominated in Dash, unless the proposer is doing business directly with our foundation, which will carry a USD balance.
Eventually we wish to add native USD support to the budget system, which will allow a contractor to get an exact amount of Dash that can be converted to USD without the contractor carrying the market risk while the work is ongoing.
V12.1 – budget-system proposal
To establish network support for the above proposed, I’ve added a proposal to the system “budget-system”. Please feel free to ask questions here about the proposed changes, I’ll answer as many of them as possible.
I’ve also submitted the proposal for a payout of 50 DASH. If successful I’ll be reimbursed for the creation of 10x proposal, which each cost 5 DASH a piece to submit to the network. To see all proposals that have ever been submitted you can use dash ninja, https://dashninja.pl/budgets.html.
If you support the idea and my reimbursement, please use the command (“vote-many a54a4fc99dde45b6841465c1cdb7b8f5ce4e6059c0086524ed26183f2b91f6dd yes”).
What’s Next?
During the time Transform PR was an active contract, they did fantastic work for us. I would really like to work with them again after we have irrevocable contracts, which will be available in 12.1. Transform PR has provided us with the plan they were going to use from March through May, which I have posted in order to give the community an idea of what our future work with them (if approved after 12.1) would look like.
Creating and fully testing a new version of the software will take about six months. The good news, however, is that while we’re working on 12.1, we also have a separate development team led by Andy Freer doing work on Dash Evolution. Because of this, 12.1 shouldn’t delay the release of Dash Evolution. We are right on schedule.
Best,
Evan Duffield

Pre-Proposal Discussion: Alex-ru promotional initiatives Hey guys, You may have already noticed some of my promotional creativity: «Alex-ru studio» video production As you know, I work for Dash for free + was getting some donations (in 2015 mainly, before decentralized budgeting was implemented). It is OK for me now, but sometimes I need to hire additional people + pay for additional media products to accomplish my tasks – so there are still some expenses that have to be covered… So this Proposal is intended to reimburse such expenses for me. I’m Russian – so it is most convenient for me to operate with Russian promos – but I see DASH need International expansion, not only Russian. And I can hire and manage actors and other freelancers on other languages – not a problem. I am not intend to make any complex and expensive Marketing or PR compaigns (and basicly oriented on promo production, not distribution [it’s a space for community – in distribution]). My moto is “Maximum effectivness for free or with minimum expenses”. My current plans of spending money from this proposals are: Also, I am planning always keep actual report on dashtalk.org forum – about particular expenses. You will be able to criticize it, made suggestions and so on. 🙂 __________ Please don’t estimate this proposal as a way to support me (because I am not going to earn money from it) – If you really want to support me personally (directly) – just send me some tips to my personal DASH address from my forum’s signature. 🙂 I would be happy to see other people creating the same types of proposals (in addition to my efforts). |

Hi there, i’m Andy Freer lead dev of Evolution aka AndyDark on DT and I’ve been working part time on Dash since September and full time for the last 2 months.
Most of my work has been behind the scenes on planning, docs, presentations, and designs / architecture for Evolution, along with my team members like Snogcel and Acidburn et al. Right now we’ve been working on prototyping for Evolution and soon going into the build phase so I am spending a lot more time on the tech / developing.
This proposal is to keep me full time on the project for the next 3 months and was Evan’s suggestion so I can put my other work on hold and just focus on Dash.
In future I think we need to attract more fultime Evo devs with budget funds which was mentioned on DashTalk which I think we really need to do, but right now we are still completing the design / prototyping phase so it’s probably a month early to propose funding to expand that.
Let me know if you have any questions I will try to answer here.
Thanks,
Andy

PLEASE NOTE: This is the same Dash World: Evolution in Marketing proposal. Only that we have listened to the community’s concerns regarding DASH’s increased price (from $4.51 to $7.00) and have incorporated them into this new proposal that now reflects a new price. Instead of 1,175 DASH the same dollar value is in 775 DASH requested herein.
Now that there is no longer public awareness, we need this more than ever!
Before you embark on perusing this quite a long proposal you may wish to check out our brief Slate Adobe presentations:
Dash World: Evolution in Marketing
Dash World: Micro-economy of Dash
or you can listen to the podcast
Dash Round Table Ep.02 – DashWorld Budget Proposal with Lisa Cheng and Dr. BobLQ
Dash World: Evolution in Marketing
Dash Evolution’s giant leap toward the creation of a new type of decentralized crypto-currency makes the project even more exciting than ever before. The problem: the world does not know about Dash yet.
Need
Dash marketing efforts are falling far behind Dash’s innovations. Its numerous improvements over the Bitcoin protocol such as InstantX, PrivacyProtect (formerly DarkSend), 3rd network tier, decentralized governance and funding by blockchain are all revolutionary steps toward the permissionless, P2P (peer-to-peer), decentralized society dominated by the Crypto-Economy.
Even more than Bitcoin, Dash challenges the ways we shape and manage society. William Gibson famously quipped:”The future is already here, it’s just unevenly distributed.” Dash offers tools for the future of today but the knowledge about it has yet to be distributed. Dash needs to establish itself as digital cash for the new society of the future we create together.

This proposal is to sponsor an open-source WordPress plugin which integrates with WooCommerce (currently the most popular WordPress e-Commerce plugin) to accept direct Dash payments to an Electrum-Dash wallet.
It’s been discussed in the Dashtalk forums, and on the Dash Round Table pilot episode, and a lot of people have voiced support for this, so I wanted to officially put it up for a vote.
I went ahead and also filled out the new suggested project template, for any curious: DP4WC-Proposal.pdf
Even with all the great features and advantages that Dash offers over other crypto- currencies, it’s still not a simple matter for an e-Commerce store owner to accept Dash as payment for goods. Additionally, at the time of this writing, there exist no plug-n-play modules or plugins which enable users to receive direct payments in Dash without using a payment processor.
This will enable anyone to set up an online store and accept Dash directly. As a bonus, the payment gateway will also be censorship-free, unlike other payment alternatives such as Paypal and BitPay (since direct Dash payments can’t be shut down).
This should encourage adoption and promote Dash merchant acceptance, which is a critical aspect of business development, one of the Strategic Areas of Work according to the current Dash Strategy.
The plugin relies on an external Insight-API service for payment lookups, which I am currently hosting out of pocket (this can be changed to a self-hosted version). Part of the funds will also go toward running an Insight-API service every month for this plugin, for users who can’t or won’t configure their own.
The Dash price has gone up significantly within the past week or so. Previously it was about $2 less than it is right now (about $4.50), and there’s a chance it could drop back down, through maybe not to the same level. I’ve lowered the amount of Dash I was originally going to request and also am anticipating a middle-ground between the current high price and what the price of Dash was just a week or so ago. So I am assuming a small bit of risk that the price drops back from a … not “all time” high, but “long time high”.
For the cost justification, in addition to running an ongoing network service, I’ve worked on this for about 6 weeks solid. I’ve put massive time and effort into making this, having to learn WP and WooCommerce development from scratch.
A couple other points that I made in the forum:
If you compare the cost of software vs our current and previous PR/Marketing proposal budgets *for a single month*, this is not a lot. If you compare the fully-loaded cost (meaning: full-time benefits, etc.) of a full-time programmer for one month, this isn’t a lot at all. This is less than the average monthly salary for a junior developer.
If this proposal is approved, it will immediately be placed on Github.com (in either my account or in the Dashpay organization’s account if the community wants to keep it there). I will be the maintainer for as long as it needs updates/upgrades, unless someone else is able and willing to do so. It’s definitely open for anyone who wants to jump in.
Please understand that this is only version 0.0.1 — I have a lot more plans and updates that I’ll be implementing as time goes on, e.g. InstantX support. I will not be submitting other proposals for these “enhancements”, this is a one-time package deal, all future upgrades will be automatic. (But not Automattic. Oh! WordPress humor. Moving on…)
My company, Black Carrot Ventures, will be listed as the developer/maintainer in the comments/readme, but the all same still applies. I’m about 80% finished with the documentation. It will have both written and video documentation (e.g. “a how to install from scratch” video).
I’m currently working on getting a demo video made to demonstrate the full life-cycle of the plugin at work, showing the payments go straight to the Electrum-Dash wallet.
Any questions, concerns? Please let me know.

Vote to Confirm Reallocation of Funds is approved by the Community –
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The core team has already proposed that the funds associated with the Public Awareness budget would be much better spent on accelerating development and on creation of fiat gateways. To vote FOR the reallocation: Vote YES on Public Awareness and YES on PA Reallocation babygiraffe Here is an excerpt from the redirect announcement. For the full description, I recommend reading the full original post from Evan, which includes details on the projects the funds will be used to support. Fiat access ramps development will be prioritized by the core team over PR and advertising during the next few months, starting in March. With For the next few months we will be focusing in partnerships, Budget prioritization, 12.1 and budget reset The new 12.1 release will introduce new contracts functionality to DGBB. At that point in time both the core-team and public-awareness budget This is important to answer the question of why we are redirecting the Show full description … |

The light client software electrum allows users to access the network without having to download the entire blockchain, but this requires hosting servers that provide the service. We don’t have a very robust setup for this currently, and the infrastructure needs a good deal of work to improve redundancy. We’ve made a deal with Rob Nelson from mazaclub to help. For 45.80D per month, he will upkeep three redundant installations with the freshest software and keep our network humming.

Resubmittal for Reimbursement for Acquisition & Setup of Dashtalk

This is a cross-post from Dashtalk This proposal is a second attempt to obtain reimbursement for the costs of acquiring and migrating Dashtalk over to Dash ownership. The first proposal, which can be found here was not funded. We are resubmitting the proposal for a few reasons: 1) The proposal actually received enough net votes to receive funding (at ~14% net votes), but was not included in the budget because of lack of available budget. The May budget appears much more capable of providing funding, with far fewer competing proposals. 2) Many community members on the forums expressed support for the proposal, but voted against it because they wanted to make sure Dash World funded in the April budget, or felt that we were submitting too late in the budget cycle. Many encouraged us to resubmit the proposal for May and would reverse their votes to YES. 3) With higher support expected for May, we believe resubmitting would best express the wishes of the community to own Dashtalk. Otherwise, we would again be in a situation where our primary communication channel was in the hands of individuals. Original post with revisions for updated costs and current USD and EUR exchange rates: I am pleased to share that the core team has negotiated the purchase of Dashtalk and the forum historical database and is working to transition / import the entire site to Dash control, while upgrading the versions of software it is running on. This is great news for the community that we were able to preserve the site in its entirety for a reasonable cost. This proposal is a consolidated set of costs to acquire Dashtalk including: Note that there are no costs included except for direct costs incurred by the team. We are only asking for reimbursement, and no costs for labor. Tungfa, moocowmoo, and fernando have been working very hard behind the scenes to make this all happen. moocowmoo in particular has put in many long hours working through long lists of issues to ensure a seamless transition. Please vote to reimburse these guys for their costs! I used an exchange rate of $6.41 / Dash for all expenses (based on the average market price on April 14th, the most recent full day available at bininfocharts). For EUR based expenses, I used $1.1265 / EUR. The community members being reimbursed assume all currency volatility risk. babygiraffe |

This is a cross-post from Dashtalk: Here The core project team is pleased to announce we have reached an agreement with Mazaclub – the vendor responsible for the Electrum wallet – to integrate support for masternode commands into the Electrum wallet and for the Trezor hardware wallet. In response to demand from masternode owners, this solution will provide much stronger security for increasingly valuable masternode private keys with the Trezor device. The cost of the integration is $1,000 USD. Work is expected to commence shortly (assuming support for this proposal) and will include the following deliverables: 1) Masternode commands / operations integrated into the Electrum wallet The expected project timeline calls for completion of the project in May. Note that this project excludes a maintenance contract. Should we negotiate a maintenance contract, it will be submitted under a separate proposal. Requested funding is as follows for the May 6th budget cycle: Exchange rate risk is carried only by the contract signer(s) and not by the network. |

This is a cross-post from https://dashtalk.org/threads/proposal-ds-liquidity-providers-v2.8668/
The liquidity provider team supports the network by providing liquidity for mixing on the network. Results for mixing on the network have resulted in dramatically shorter mixing times, which in the past could have taken as long as a few days to complete.
Unfortunately, the Liquidity Provider proposal has failed to fund for the past couple of months, putting these services at risk. One of the recent sources of objection to the proposal is the cost. Since the proposal was first created, the price of Dash has increased over 200%, so the cost concern is valid.
To address this concern and (we hope) return the proposal to funded status, we are resubmitting the Liquidity Providers proposal for the next two months to replace the existing proposal, adjusted for the current price. After two months, we should be on the new budget system. The new adjusted amount requested is 46.37 Dash per month for May and June. This consists of:
1) $300 / mo. for liquidity providers @ $6.47 / Dash
– Uses most recent available average price from April 13th on https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html
– Uses the $300 amount from the original liquidity provider proposal
2) 2.5 Dash / month to reimburse my cost of submitting the proposal
This proposal will allow our liquidity provider team to continue facilitating coin mixing on the network while addressing the cost concerns causing the current proposal to go unfunded.

This is a cross-post from the Dash forum
Introduction
This proposal is to allow the core team to purchase an annual subscription to WebEx’s Premium 100 web conferencing product. While many free services exist on the market, the scale of our operations have outgrown the free options. At this stage, the effectiveness of the team and our professionalism with outside vendors and business partners is unacceptably impacted. We also desire the ability to hold larger calls with a broad audience including quarterly updates for the community.
What issues have you faced with the free services? Have you tried using x yet?
There are numerous quality issues we are encountering as the core team’s activities grow. As more core team members shift to full-time along with the addition of the Evolution development team and the frequent addition of third party participants (e.g., vendors and business partners), core team calls are beginning to reach the limits of what free offerings can support. This results in inefficient calls that require recovering topics, and us looking very unprofessional when meeting with third parties.
We now frequently have dropped calls, participants unable to hear, participants unable to be heard, dial-in numbers not functioning, and packet loss / sound quality issues. Free tools simply fail with more than 3-5 participants.
We have tried many free product versions, including (but not limited to) Skype, WebEx, Google Hangouts, and GoToMeeting. They have all generated the same issues.
Why are we suggesting such a high-capacity plan?
The WebEx Premium 100 allows up to 100 participants to join a conference. With a high-capacity web conferencing tool, we plan to not only solve the call quality issues, but actually introduce new chances for the community to interact with the core team. Here are the many uses we have planned for the subscription. Several of these will require a high-capacity plan.
Dash core team meetings, including our full-team weekly meeting
Dash Foundation calls
Dash Foundation annual member meeting
Project-specific calls
Calls with business partners and vendors
Quarterly calls with the community (probably starting this or next quarter), including presentations and Q&A
The incremental cost of the Premium 100 plan is just $10 / month incremental expense over the Premium 25 plan. For that cost, we can obtain access to another effective communication channel with the community.
Requested funding is as follows for the June 6th budget cycle:
73.68 Dash ($588 USD @ $7.98 per May 21st average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 78.68 Dash
Exchange rate risk is carried only by kot (sponsoring) and not by the network.

|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a cross-post from Dash Forum Thanks to connections made through the Vanbex Group, we have a unique opportunity to sponsor the d10e conference in San Fransisco July 19th-20th at the “Visionary” sponsorship level at a discount of 20%. What is d10e? What is happening at the event? Who is going to this thing? Attendees will be varied, but expect to see CXO-level executives from a variety of bitcoin and blockchain companies, investment firms, startups, and incubators. You will also find a number of bitcoin luminaries, but I think it is too soon to announce anything that isn’t yet on d10e’s own website. What would a Visionary sponsorship cost? What is included in a Visionary sponsorship? What else is planned? Will there be any other costs? Would I be allowed to go? Requested funding is as follows for the June 6th budget cycle: Exchange rate risk is carried by @oaxaca for the soda machine expenses not by the network. However, any changes in the actual fiat cost associated with the soda machine may be submitted with the July budget… $1,200 is an estimate. The July proposal will also include travel expense reimbursement. Right now, we do not yet have a sponsor for the Visionary sponsorship cost. Therefore, any shortfall in the Dash needed on the date of the payment to d10e will be included in the July travel proposal. Likewise, any leftover Dash after payment to d10e will be applied toward travel costs. |

This proposal is to suggest issuing of DASH debit card by integration of DASH to SpectroCoin.com wallet. The card will be both physical and virtual and will let DASH users to spend their holdings everywhere where MasterCard or Visa is accepted. We are managing the wallet since 2013 and we have been issuing debit cards for bitcoin users for more than a year. On top of this the integration would mean that DASH users will be able to exchange DASH to fiat, buy DASH, pay with DASH at our payment processor, so merchants could receive fiat as well as use Drupal, Magento, opencart, PrestaShop, WHMCS plug-ins. The funds will spent to hire an additional developer, so our core team developer with experience with cryptocurruncy protocols could focus on DASH integration. |

This proposal is an addendum to the previously funded d10e Conference Sponsorship proposal, which passed in the June budget: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-d10e-conference-sponsorship.9035/
In the June budget, the network approved the sponsorship of the d10e conference in San Francisco on July 19th-20th. Now that the conference proposal is passed, this proposal is to reimburse the travel and lodging costs for Evan and Daniel – who will both be presenting at d10e.
In order to extract the most value out of the trip, both Evan and Daniel will arrive the day before the event and depart the day after the event. This will allow them to meet with several Silicon Valley cryptocurrency-focused companies about potential business development
opportunities in addition to simply attending the conference. Work is in progress confirming meetings.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
45.72 Dash for Evan’s flight from Phoenix ($353.00 USD @ $7.721 per June 13th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
128.87 Dash for Evan’s hotel for three nights ($995.00 USD)
6.48 Dash to check the Dash banner ($25.00 USD each way)
141.95 Dash for Daniel’s flight from Panama ($1,096.00 USD)
127.27 Dash for Daniel’s hotel ($982.65 USD)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
LESS the leftover 5.60 Dash from the previous d10e Conference Sponsorship proposal (the Dash price appreciated from the date it was
submitted to the network to the date we paid d10e, so we are applying
those funds here)
Total: 449.69 Dash
Exchange rate risk is carried by Evan and Daniel, not by the network.

The liquidity provider team supports the network by providing liquidity for mixing on the network. Results for mixing on the network have resulted in dramatically shorter mixing times, which in the past could have taken as long as a few days to complete.
The previous Liquidity Providers proposal only requested funding for May and June, since at the time it was submitted (April) we were assuming we might have converted to 12.1 before the July budget cycle. This proposal simply extends Liquidity providers for one additional month until 12.1 is released.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
35.59 Dash ($300 USD @ $8.429 per June 16th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 40.59 Dash

What is this proposal about?
One of our strategic priorities for 2016 is expanding merchant acceptance to give users the opportunity to spend Dash directly, targeting high-value use cases that leverage Dash’s unique features. We are pleased to announce that we are moving forward with implementation at a substantial merchant. An official press release will be coming soon, so I can only provide limited background.
Why should I vote for this proposal?
The merchant is a category-leading privacy-centric service with over one million users. Given the privacy-focused nature of their user base, the synergies with Dash are obvious. Currently, users must make payments using non-private methods. By adding Dash, users will now be able to enjoy full privacy across their entire experience, along with the speed of InstantSend payments (which will be supported as well). It also exposes Dash to a set of customers predisposed to placing a high-value on privacy.
The merchant is a champion of Dash and its many consumer benefits, and will represent what we consider to be a flagship client for our network. As such, we intend to deliver a superior integration to anything the client could have received with Bitcoin.
In addition, this integration will add real-world merchant integration experience to our team, which is already proving extremely valuable to inform the design of Evolution to make it even more merchant-friendly.
What resources are needed?
Rather than using a 3rd party payment processor, we will create a custom payment full-node the client can host internally accessed via a REST API to enable InstantSend payments and additional features they’re requesting, to enable full privacy and decentralized payment processing for the client. Secondly, our solution will tightly integrate with the client’s own payments process for a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
This solution will require additional development support. Andy Freer is leading the team responsible. To complete the work, we will need several resources including a NodeJS developer to build the payment node and API. We will also need an HTML / PHP developer to integrate their systems. Members from the Evolution team will also help with the work under the existing core team budget.
We estimate the total funding required beyond the capacity of the core team to be $5,000.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
598.59 Dash for additional development staff ($5,000 USD @ $8.353 per Dash based on June 17th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 603.59 Dash
Note: Should any funding remain after the project is complete, we will reserve those funds for future integration opportunities

As we wrap up Evolution specifications, we are very pleased to announce that initial plans for the development phase of Evolution are maturing, and we are ready to begin securing additional resources that will be required for the project.
What will this proposal fund?
Andy and other core team members have been planning the next phase of activities. One of the foundational components requiring development early in the project is porting the X11 hash algorithm from C to JavaScript. The JavaScript version is needed for the core Dash JS libraries which will be used across the Evolution front-end stack.
In addition to the work the core team is performing, we estimate requiring about a month of a programmer’s time. This task will require a strong understanding of C, JavaScript, and cryptographic hashing functions. This task was selected to outsource because it represents a stand-alone effort, allowing the team to focus on the design activities while accelerating the delivery of the project.
The work is expected to begin in August and be completed in September. We estimate the total funding required beyond the capacity of the core team to be $5,000.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
604.45 Dash for additional development staff ($5,000 USD @ $8.272 per Dash based on June 18th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost

In the past, the Public Awareness budget has provided for a number of different needs for the network, including conference materials, public relations, advertising, business development, and international translation services. In late March, that budget was redirected (via a vote) to prioritize the fiat gateways project.
In an official announcement late last week, we requested a down vote of the Public Awareness budget, which is progressing. We foresee no issues getting it removed. Going forward, we plan to introduce separate budgets for each of the major areas Public Awareness previously supported. One of those areas is marketing, which includes all of our international outreach efforts.
This marketing budget proposal will provide continued funding for our language translators. This group translates a massive amount of material on a monthly basis, including relevant news articles, videos (voiceover and subtitles), web pages, and in the near future will be maintaining local wikis and translations of our official webpage. In addition, these individuals post materials to local chat groups and social media. The four main languages covered are Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Translators are compensated with tips based on the volume of material and other outreach they perform for the community. We have been running the program for about a year and it is effective at increasing our international exposure.
In addition, we are beginning to sign sponsorship deals with targeted YouTube channels and website partners for placement and promotion. A small amount of funds are also used for giveaways or promotions, like a spinning wheel on 8BTC.
The requested amount is expected to be an ongoing need to maintain these translation service, international media, and promotion efforts.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
270.57 Dash ($2,200 USD @ $8.131 per Dash based on June 19th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
Total: 270.57 Dash

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum This proposal is meant to finally address the minimum ongoing infrastructure requirements of the Dash project. Coming out of our recent review of our needs, infrastructure was one area that clearly required some investment. Critical Dash assets are being hosted on In an ideal scenario – and hopefully in the long-run – we would like to host Dash infrastructure on dedicated equipment, but that would be cost-prohibitive at our current scale. However, there is much that can be done to improve our infrastructure without a great deal of First, we need to replace the functionality of the discontinued cloud Bamboo service. After evaluating our options, we propose purchasing our own hardware. By owning our own server, we can compile new versions muchmore efficiently, which accelerates our automated testing (continuous integration). This will make all of our development teams more efficient, especially during the testing phases of each release. As the development efforts ramp up the second half of this year, having a For other infrastructure needs, we feel that we can continue to operate using cloud-based infrastructure, which has lower upfront costs, more flexibility to add or remove capacity, and yet is still hosted in a professionally managed datacenter. It would also ensure that these assets are under the control of the project, as opposed to individuals who are presently donating capacity. A special thanks to @moocowmoo for leading this effort and taking on our infrastructure planning and management. Here are the details on the hardware and services we propose as part of our minimum ongoing infrastructure needs. Please note that when 12.1 is deployed a separate proposal will be needed to fund the ongoing costs. This proposal covers only one-time costs and first month’s expenses. Compile/Deploy/Backup server Cloud infrastructure costs Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle: 362.67 Dash for Bamboo server ($3,000.00 USD @ $8.272 per Dash based on June 18th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html) Total: 416.02 Dash Note: Should any funding remain after the project is complete, we will apply those funds toward future infrastructure funding needs |

In order to provide the core team with professional tools and storage infrastructure, and improve collaboration internally and with external partners, we would like to migrate our current e-mail accounts to Google Apps for Work (https://apps.google.com/intx/en/).
Our current solution (Yandex) served us well up to this point, however its business features are limited to basic email service. With the rapid growth of the project, large number of initiatives, and collaboration with numerous external partners, we see the need for a professional email and collaboration platform. What we are lacking with the current solution, which is offered by Google Apps for Work are:
Integrated online calendars (our biggest need)
Online storage for file syncing and sharing together with advanced admin controls for Drive
Online text documents, spreadsheets and slides
Easily search and export to different formats of our files and materials
Google Vault for eDiscovery features
Security and admin controls
24/7 phone and email support
In addition, many members of the core team are already accustomed to Google Apps from previous experience, reducing the ramp-up time to this proposed solution. The Google accounts cost $10/month/person. We currently utilize 32 accounts with Yandex, but we believe we will divest of a few accounts during the migration. Should we have leftover funds, we will simply apply those to future Google Apps costs (thus reducing the costs of future email / collaboration tool budget requests). If approved, we would expect to continue on a new proposal under the 12.1 budget system.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
36.90 Dash ($300.00 USD @ $8.131 per Dash based on June 19th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)

Dash Core Team Monthly Report (August) 08/09/16 – https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OC/pages/64028683/August+2016+-+Dash+Core+Team+Monthly+Report

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a cross-post from Dash Forum Why is this proposal important? Business Development is a critical component of our 2016 roadmap. In the past, the lack of a surrounding ecosystem of service providers ranging from highly-regarded exchanges to merchant service providers was a significant hindrance to Dash’s adoption. As many foundational elements of our surrounding ecosystem (thanks to the Lamassu and fiat gateways projects) have launched or are near completion – including Coinapult integration, market-making services, brokering, and ATM integration – new business opportunities are opening up to the team, requiring various levels of technical support. We now have several discussions in the pipeline at various stages with well-known service providers in the crypto-currency space. We are targeting high-use services across the spectrum from popular wallets, exchanges, consumer services, merchant services, and more. We are especially excited about opportunities that will highlight the unique features of Dash. We aren’t simply seeking to implement Dash like every other coin. What is funding needed for? Technical support will be required to support our business partners’ integrations with Dash, especially given our unique feature set and capabilities. You may have seen the proposal that is supporting an upcoming flagship client. Given its size, we felt that particular effort warranted its own budget. Fortunately, that is not the only client in the pipeline. Many other support efforts or work-scoping exercises will be needed over the coming weeks. We therefore seek general support and integration funding for business development across this set of substantial opportunities. The need for these funds is already imminent. More information will be released within the next week or two on one of these opportunities. We will share the name of the vendor at that time through a joint press release. For now, we can say only it is one of the most popular and fastest-growing Bitcoin wallet providers with hundreds of thousands of users. We anticipate the need for business development funding to be ongoing as we ramp up business partner onboarding efforts. This proposal is for one month only due to the upcoming release of 12.1, which will reset all budget items in the system. We are currently planning for a budget of $6,000 per month. Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle: Note: Funding from this proposal will be reserved for business development purposes. |

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum Andy and other Evolution team members have been planning the next phase of activities and determining what resources will be required to deliver Evolution. This proposal will provide initial funding for professional graphic designers to create the visual design for the Evolution web client user interfaces. This task was selected to outsource because it represents a stand-alone effort, allowing the team to focus on the technical design activities while accelerating the delivery of the project. The completion of this work is also a prerequisite to produce the UI HTML interface based on these visual. Therefore, outsourcing this body of work will accelerate the delivery of Evolution. Be aware that we expect the full cost of graphic design to be $10,000. However, since the core team pledged to reserve 20% of the budget for community budget proposals, this proposal is limited to seeking partial funding. The sum of this proposal and all previously submitted proposals brings us to this 20% limit. We intend to request the remainder of the required funds in a separate proposal. The work is expected to begin in August alongside the X11 hashing algorithm port and last approximately two months. Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle: Note: Should any funding remain after the project is complete, we will reserve those funds for future Evolution development projects |

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum As a core team, we committed to reserving at least 20% of the monthly budget for community efforts until at least one week prior to the budget cycle payments. However, as we are currently less than a week from the budget payments and it appears that a good amount of the budget is still unused, we are requesting some additional projects be funded from the remaining unused budget. The amount of unused budget remaining after today’s other core team budget proposals is 133.98 Dash. Our current public relations firm’s contract – which is funded through the community-sponsored Dash World proposal – expires at the end of July. We anticipate the need for another PR contract in the fall, probably starting in September after the slow summer holiday period is over. Although a firm and contract for September onward is not yet selected / signed, we would like to start pre-funding the expenses that will be needed in the August budget period to start another PR contract effective September 1st. It’s time for Dash to have a killer YouTube channel – one which informs, one which entertains, and one which ultimately increases the value of a Dash. I (Amanda B. Johnson) and my partner (Pete “the Manservant”s Eyre) would like approval and funding from the masternode network to assume custody of Dash’s Youtube channel, which includes the publishing of a new series on it – “Dash’s Very Own YouTube Show.” We are applying for three months of 123 Dash/superblock (~$1000 USD), and will apply again in three months if this proposal passes. To achieve our goal of delivering relevant information in an entertaining way – and ultimately to increase the market capitalization of Dash – we will perform the following seven tasks: Publish a new installment of Dash’s Very Own YouTube Show every Wednesday – check out the pilot episode below! The show will have closed-captioning options in Russian, Chinese, German, Russian, Portuguese, and English (as provided via Google Translate or similar). Publish said show as a playlist at the top of YouTube.com/DashOrg. See pilot episode HERE! Make YouTube.com/DashOrg the main, high-performing Dash channel by deleting the former channel (which is YouTube.com/DarkcoinTV). This will prevent splitting of views and subscriber counts, as well as preventing general confusion. How will you measure whether we’re succeeding – whether you ought to re-approve our proposal after three months? At that point, you should see the following: – YouTube.com/DashOrg ranks higher on YouTube search results for “Dash” and/or “digital cash” We hope you, the masternode network, will view this proposal as a unique and compelling way to increase the value of your collateral. This proposal’s intent has been shared with current YouTube administrator tungfa, who reports that he’ll provide us with login credentials to begin working if it’s approved. Please ask any questions you may have. Thank you, and we hope to become network employees! To manually vote YES: To manually vote NO: |

This proposal is to purchase three hardware wallets for our soon-to-be-released Electrum masternode functionality integration. We need the wallets for @flare to build and test the software from Mazaclub. The Trezor-functional wallet is now ready for acceptance testing, but we need to provide him with these devices to test each release as they are completed. We will also need them over the coming months / years for maintenace releases as Dash functionality is added to future Electrum releases.
The costs below include shipping.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
17.22 Dash for a KeepKey hardware wallet (125.00 EUR @ 0.89407 EUR per USD and $8.12 / Dash based on June 3rd average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
15.96 Dash for a Trezor hardware wallet (115.90 EUR)
5.50 Dash for a Ledger Nano hardware wallet (39.90 EUR)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 43.68 Dash
Exchange rate risk is carried by flare and not by the network. However, any changes in the actual fiat cost associated with the purchase (e.g., unaccounted for customs fees) may result in additional reimbursements owed to flare.

About a week ago, as part of the core team budget submissions, we included a graphics design proposal that you can find here: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-evolution-development-graphic-design.9223/ The proposal is currently passing with a net 20% of available votes.
The original proposal covered only partial funding of the total expense. Since we as a core team committed to reserving at least 20% of the monthly budget for community efforts until at least one week prior to the budget cycle payments, we had effectively run out of core team budget for the month.
As we are currently less than a week from the budget payments and it appears that a good amount of the budget is still unused, we are requesting the remaining funding for this project. $7,625.11 was funded in the original proposal. This will complete the $10,000 total estimated costs for the graphic design work as noted in the original proposal.
Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle:
347.97 Dash for graphic design staff ($2,374.89 USD @ $6.825 per Dash based on June 27th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 352.97 Dash
Note: Should any funding remain after the project is complete, we will reserve those funds for future Evolution development projects

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum Since a portion of the funding the core team had reserved for the community appears likely to be unused, we are planning ahead for future expenses to use this budget. We anticipate a need for a small amount of conference-related travel costs in July and August that we would like to pre-fund. The specific costs are the following: By pre-funding the Bitcoin meetup travel costs in August, we should be able to reduce the costs, so we believe pre-funding those expenses is in the best interest of the network. Requested funding is as follows for the July 6th budget cycle: Note: Should any funding remain after travel for the Atlanta Bitcoin meetup, we will reserve those funds for future travel expenses |

I am fully covering translations and conference in relation to received
feedback. Thanks to the soon to be published GreyHost’s materials I will
be able to translate these and localize them (it will require localizing toward local law as well and it is about 20 pages long) and other thing is that I am going to push forward potential
partnerships for dash as stated below in field of investment and in
field of business developement of dash. When there will be really great
amount of opportunites discovered I will do another proposal to cover
details.
Trailer from previous year
This proposal is about:
– HCPP Conference & meetup
– Translations for CZ/SK community and individual/institutional investors
– Marketing of all that
– Business developement of Dash
– Bringing new investors to dash
Budget:
75 Dash + 5 Dash reimbursement proposal
Money will be used for:
August
20% Meetup in Prague
40% translations of Dash Detailed, dash core, most important stuff &
GreyHost investment materials that will be localized, his materials are
going public in days as he stated in PM)
10% Bringing new investors/Business developement (there are some ATM
companies, Trezor is being made here etc. we need full market potential)
10% project management mainly of translations (thanks to @alex-ru we will do a lot more translations for the same price than on local
market, we are using international freelancers, more translations will
reguire a lot more coordination)
20% Marketing and PR for Dash – it will bring huge amounts of people to localized materials and build legitimacy for investors
September
50% Prague conference – we are going to have a presentation there, more
info coming soon as I am still talking with event management
30% translations
20% marketing and PR

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum
As previously communicated, we are presently building out the foundational elements needed for Evolution in Dash-Core and Dash-Evolution completely separately to accelerate the process. These pieces will be connected together in a later release for the full realization of Evolution.
On the Dash-Evolution side, we already began funding graphic design and porting of the X11 hash function to JavaScript in the July budget. On the Dash-Core side, we are fast approaching the completion of v12.1. Consequently, we are beginning to plan for the next phase of development starting in August.
Evan has been the workhorse behind the Dash-Core progress to date, along with some support from part-time core team developers. For the 12.2 DashDrive release, we would like to accelerate development by funding additional Dash-Core resources to work for Evan. The specific skill set will be C++ programmers familiar with the Bitcoin and / or Dash code base.
The funding requested will begin in August at ~$3,300 per month and is expected to continue through March. This particular proposal covers only one month of costs. When the 12.1 system launches, we will submit a more permanent ongoing proposal (since all existing proposals will terminate when 12.1 is deployed).
Requested funding is as follows for the August 5th budget cycle:
425.37 Dash for C++ developer subcontractors ($3,300 USD @ $7.758 per July 14th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 430.37 Dash
Note: Any unused funds from this Dash-Core development funding will be directed toward other development expenses.

This is a continuation of the marketing budget started in July https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-marketing-international-outreach-promotion.9218/
For example, Dash is now sponsoring Dash now sponsoring “Ideias Radicais” from Raphaël Lima. A small amount of funds are also used for giveaways or promotions, like a spinning wheel on 8BTC.
The requested amount is expected to be an ongoing need to maintain these translation service, international media, and promotion efforts.
Requested funding is as follows for the August 5th budget cycle:
283.58 Dash ($2,200 USD @ $7.758 per Dash based on July 14th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
5.00 Dash proposal reimbursement
Total: 288.58 Dash
Note: Should any funding remain after the project is complete, we will reserve those funds for future marketing projects

This is a cross-post from Dash Forum This proposal is to provide ongoing funding during Evolution development to add developers to accelerate the Evolution release time. Funds will be used to pay developers for various parts of Evolution development from integration of Dash core and DashDrive, DAPI, and the Evolution web/mobile clients. Specific needs include: With these funds we can incentivize new developers outside of the existing Dash community to help build the various componets of Evolution, deliver the end-product more quickly, and expand the Dash development community. The type of development on which we will spend the funds will consist of a combination of contract-based freelancers, bounties we will post in the crypto community, and incentivizing people in the Dash community who aren’t active but might want to come forward if an incentive is provided. The way these funds will be spent is: Requested funding is as follows for the August 5th budget cycle: Note: Any unused funds from this Dash-Evolution development funding will be directed toward other development expenses. This is a cross-post from Dash Forum As the community has been able to testify, we are making great strides toward execution of our business development plans for 2016. We have recently revealed our progress on the Lamassau ATM integration and partnership with TigoCTM, our open-ended collaboration with Mycelium and our upcoming integration with ProtonMail. We hope that the community is starting to appreciate the hard work the past few months to build the ecosystem. These partnerships establish a solid foundation for Dash’s continued growth. There are a number of additional partnerships/integrations that will be announced as each is ready for public release. We hope that the partnerships that have already been published show that we are hard at work to expand the ecosystem, and that the funding of the business development program is yielding substantial tangible results. We believe that continuing funding for this program is an essential component of our strategy and necessary to deliver a healthy ecosystem of services for the Dash network. The funding requested will continue the $6,000 per month funding from the previous proposal. We anticipate the need for business development funding to be ongoing as we ramp up business partner onboarding efforts. This proposal is for one month only due to the upcoming release of 12.1, which will reset all budget items in the system. Funds will be used to support integration expenses, technical support for partners, project management, solution design, technical specification creation, testing, code reviews, and other expenses to onboard new partnerships. Requested funding is as follows for the August 5th budget cycle: Note: Funding from this proposal will be reserved for business development purposes. |

This proposal seeks funding for addition conference expenses for the Conferences & Travel budget. There are several items included in this budget.
First, there were several expenses for the d10e conference for which we are seeking reimbursement. There are some leftovers that will also be used at the Atlanta Blockchain Meetup. These items include:
– Color double-sided hardstock handouts / brochures
– Conference swag (bags, notebooks)
– Dash signage
Second, @oaxaca incurred expenses to package and ship the soda machine that exceeded the original estimate of $1,200.00. Because the machine was picked up at a rural location, the shipper required packaging, and both the origin and destination lacked loading docks, there were significant additional charges. Actual costs ended up at $1,750.00. An additional $550.00 is therefore owed to oaxaca.
Oaxaca incurred additional expenses such as fuel, mileage, soda stocking costs, and parking… not to mention an enormous amount of time and sweat to store, load, and unload the machine (and then back to his house again). He will not be charging us for those direct costs, nor for his time. So a big thank you to oaxaca for all the effort and donated expenses!
EDIT: @buster deserves a special shout-out as well for helping transport the machine, and submitted pictures and video to allow us all to remotely “be there”. He also purchased a router extender, and skipped the social events the first night of the conference to get it all working. What an awesome community!
Third, the soda machine has been a valuable resource for Dash at conferences to both attract thirsty conference-goers to our booth, and engage them in using InstantSend and learning how it functions. We would like to continue using the soda machine at future events, but it is in need of minor maintenance. For the time being, oaxaca is storing the machine for us, but would like his garage space back. We see two options to effectively utilize the soda machine in the future. Both options (which I will outline below) require moving the machine to Arizona and quickly servicing it. Therefore, we would like to request funding to ship the machine to Arizona and have it maintained. A coolant recharge is expected to cost about $140.00. Oaxaca saved the packaging from the shipment from Florida and agreed to package it for us, which will save significant costs. Costs to ship the machine from San Fransisco to Phoenix will cost $427.77. We will ship it directly to the repair shop to avoid additional expenses, and they will use their forklift to remove it from the truck, which saves money vs. transferring it to a lift-gate equipped local truck.
From there, we have two options with the soda machine: if it is repaired in time, it could be picked up by Dash Across America’s John Bush and used at the Jackalope Freedom Festival and subsequent events on that tour. A second option is to store the machine here in Phoenix with the intention of using it for future conferences, as a demo machine for Evan and I to show prospective business partners / investors, and preserve it (assuming we are successful) as an article of potential historical significance that belongs to the network. If local transport is needed, Evan and I should be able to borrow a trailer and go move it ourselves, so there should be no additional transport costs.
Requested funding is as follows for the August 5th budget cycle:
28.62 Dash for color handouts ($256.89 USD @ $8.976 per July 26th average rate at https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/price-dash.html)
41.60 Dash for conference giveaways and placards ($373.43 USD)
61.27 Dash for reimbursement of soda machine transport costs from FL to CA ($550.00 USD)
47.66 Dash for transport of soda machine to Phoenix repair shop ($427.77 USD)
15.60 Dash for coolant recharge ($140.00)
5.00 Dash reimbursement for the proposal cost
Total: 199.75 Dash
Note: Any unused funds from this conferences and travel budget will be directed toward other future conferences-related expenses.

|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
UPDATE: We may be travelling with the Dash Soda Machine during our tour! This will enable us to demonstrate the quickness and potential of Dash at our stops and meetups! UPDATE #2: Evan Duffield, founder of Dash, will be joining us at JackFest. We will do a one on one in depth interview and also see about putting on a talk about Dash with him!!! UPDATE #3: I have started compiling responses to concerns I am hearing from community members at the bottom of the proposal. UPDATE #4: The Dash decals for the bus have been sent to the printer. We are excited to put them on the bus and will send pictures as soon as they are up! UPDATE #5: We are looking to hire someone to help produce, upload, and publish our SovereignBTC podcasts on Lets Talk Bitcoin while we are on the road. Our intention is to pay that person one Dash for every podcast they upload. If you know anyone that might be interested let us know! This will be a great way to get some Dash commerce flowing during our tour and demonstrate it’s ease of use! UPDATE #6: We will be using Dash to pay the person who is managing Brave New Books in our stead! This will allow us to use the currency often and will give us an example of the how quick and reliable Dash truly is. Plus it will create a new Dash user and proponent. THERE IS ALSO DISCUSSION ON THIS PROPOSAL AT THE DAHS FORUM: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/pre-proposal-dash-across-america-crypto-only-promotional-road-trip.9751/ Hello Dash community, my name is John Bush and I’m seeking your YES vote for this marketing proposal. Who are we? I’m the host of the SovereignBTC podcast on the LetsTalkBitcoin Network and Partner and General Manager of Brave New Books, the first brick and mortar in the State of Texas to accept bitcoin and as far as we know, the first brick and mortar in the country to accept Dash. We will also soon be hosting a Dash accepting soda machine!!! I am a big fan of Dash because of it’s focus on privacy and it’s innovative take on decentralized and autonomous governance. My wife, Catherine Bleish (AKA The Bit Mom who is a former writer for Bitcoin Magazine, Coin Telegraph, and Money & Tech) and I, along with our two kids are embarking on our fourth crypto only cross country promotional road trip. On this trip we are traveling in our converted school bus, known as the Bitcoin.com bus. This time around, in addition to using bitcoin, we will also be using and promoting Dash. Where are we going? On this tour, which begins on July 27th and ends September 7th, 2016, we will depart from Austin, TX and head to Arizona’s Jackalope Freedom Festival, an event which is in it’s fifth year and regularly attracts hundreds of crypto and liberty enthusiasts. From there we will head to San Diego, then Los Angeles, back through Las Vegas and on to Denver, Colorado. We’ll then stop through Kansas City and then head to Alabama for the Rethinking Everything Conference, a gathering of conscious and unschooling families, many of whom are familiar with crypto cureency due to previous exposure and speeches my wife and I have given at previous RE conferences. After RE, we will return to Austin, TX and get back to work at Brave New Books. How will Dash benefit? In each city we visit we will be attending bitcoin meetups and hosting events of our own. We expect 20 to 50 people will be at each meetup and around 500 people will be at Jackalope and 200 or more at Rethinking Everything. At the meetups and conferences we will be handing out literature, swag, and talking with attendees one on one. Our goal is to have over 100 people setup their first Dash wallet and we will supply them with a small amount of Dash to get them started. We will also be reaching out to business owners along the way and encourage them to begin accepting Dash in exchange for goods and services. By engaging in one on one discourse with meetup and conference attendees we will be able to thoroughly share the benefits and innovations that Dash brings to the table. How will we get the word out? The tour will be documented on various crypto media outlets and through my SovereignBTC podcast on LetsTalkBitcoin.com which reaches tens of thousands of listeners. On my podcast I will also document my experience with the Masternode Budget process. Additionally, we will be writing articles for and will be featured in a number of bitcoin and liberty related media. We will also publish press releases and reach out to traditional media contacts to garner earned media about crypto currency and Dash specifically. We have reserved a prominent space on the back of our bus for the Dash logo and URL where it will be seen by tens of thousands people as we travel over 4800 miles through 13 states. After our tour is completed, Dash will be used and recognized by many more people and adoption will have increased immensely. Proposal Submission Our proposal is for 700 Dash. Monies will be used for travel expenses (Gas, Food, Campground Stays), podcast production, and some Dash will be given to enthusiastic people who setup their first wallet. We will also use Dash with businesses and vendors who agree to begin accepting the currency or who already do. Thanks, Our Itinerary:https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0961/9054/files/Screen_Shot_2016-07-16_at_11.25.58_PM.png?10350046553173975218 Episode of SovereignBTC with Daniel Diaz on the decentralized governance infrastructure behind Dash: SovereignBTC podcasts: Podcast Playlist from our last trip out West (over 118k listens!): Brave New Books Now Accepts Dash: First Dash Transaction at Brave New Books: PREVIOUS MEDIA ATTENTION OUR TOURS HAVE GARNERED: This Family is Road Tripping Using Only Bitcoin Bitcoin Boulevard becomes a popular stop in Bitcoin tourism US Family Embarks on 3rd ‘Uncoinventional’ Bitcoin-Only Tour “Uncoinventional” Family of Four Begins Bitcoin-Only Holiday Road Trip Bitcoin Bus Tour Launches from Keene! I would like to address that concern with the following five points: 1. The vision for our uncoinventional crypto only road trips is an empowered general public and liberty/crypto community that incorporates crypto currency and decentralized technology in to their daily lives. As activists we have always been about furthering the overall goal of building a free society through voluntary decentralized means. As such, we support most all crypto currencies be they Dash, Bitcoin, or Ether. 2. We chose to call this trip, our fourth, Dash Across America, as we focused exclusively on bitcoin on previous trips and want to educate people already aware of bitcoin about Dash. We also want to promote Dash on this tour as the Masternode budgeting system is an excellent example of decentralized voluntary governance in action, and it works! 3. We travel using crypto only and at this point in Dash’s development it would be next to impossible to travel using Dash only as the businesses and servicea accepting Dash are minimal at this time, especially when it comes to travel. This is why we feel the need to promote Dash im depth on this go around as there is a demand for Dash acceptance and we want to help further adoption by encouraging business to consider accepting it in exchane for goods and services. On our very first bitcoin only tour it was much harder than our last. We’d like to think our activism played a role in highlighting market needs that entrepreneurs later filled. 4. We have received donations from Roger Ver’s bitcoin.com and other crypto and decentralized tech companies. Dash will not be footing the bill to promote other currencies. 5. What better audience to communicate the benefits of Dash to than people already using crypto! By using and promoting bitcoin, we are attracting an audience ripe for Dash adoption. We are making it a point to setup at least 100 people with their first Dash wallet. Many of these people will already be bitcoin users. I hope these four points alleviate some of the community concerns. Please comment below if you have any more questions or concerns. |

Anyone that wants to check out the Dash Chat Slack, click here https://digitalcash.signup.team/
The public slack is now picking up members and becoming the face of the Dash community. We are over 500 members with 25 new members added each week. We have 12 technical support contacts acting as an around the clock help desk. We typically have over 15,000 messages each week. Slack is available on iphone, android, and browser which make communicating fast and easy in a chat like atmosphere. Slack also supports easy file uploads and integrations with twitter and reddit to put news all in one place.
A few unique aspects of our slack is that there are dedicated channels to budget proposals to help answer questions directly from the proposal owner. We have also had live podcasts where members could ask questions in real time. Many discussions have started projects like Canadash which will be a Dash accepting pop machine located in Canada. We offer a great way for miners and masternode owners to talk about pools or hardware settings and configurations.
After the community made suggestions from other successful sites that attracted users, it was determined that a bot that could tip and rain funds was key. Naruby created a tipbot for Dash with a little help from Moocowmoo on security. The tipbot can tip users, deposit, withdraw, provide Dash price in multiple currencies, and has a function to rain dash on all active users once it hits a certain amount. Recently, rain has been updated to sun for the summer. The tipbot is getting used with over 50 Dash per month getting tipped out. The plan is to add some security and features to make this bot work with other slacks and promote Dash further.
One of the Dash Detailed episodes talked about a Dash jobs section on the forum, and it is still blank. A few members have asked for certain features and have even pledged their own funds to make it happen. Effectively, the community has offered to create jobs for some smaller projects. We think the value of this slack to the community is growing and would like to offer incentives to members that contribute.
I will list a few successful activities.
Exodus Wallet skin – 10 Dash went to the winner. We had three very cool designs. Check out the wallet released as a 1.0 today. https://www.exodus.io/
Articles in Dashpaymazine.com are all community efforts. Most of the personally written articles were better than the paid articles from Vanbex.
Mining Channel – We helped many of the PinIdea customers fix miners. It is also a great way to optimize and try different settings. This real time discussion is helpful when solving problems.
Dashstore – We started talks to create a dashstore to sell shirts and merchandise.
Iphone wallet on App store – current bounty is 300 Dash – this is all from pledges. We have 2 developers discussion how to make a wallet that might get accepted. (Yes they are talking with Quantum Explorer, and waiting on existing wallet gets approved/rejected)
2FA – Again we had a user looking into how to make this work.
We also created the site http://www.dashnation.com/gigs/ to list current bounties.
Tipbot – 25 Dash
Add key features to enable the @dashbot to be used on other slacks as a promotional tool.
Add cold wallet storage with hot wallet online with minimal funds.
Add multiple slack usage form the same wallet.
Server rental and maintenance.
Community Engagement – 200 Dash
A portion will be used for activities to gain community participation. Bounties will be used for innovate ideas and prizes will be provided for contests to engage community activity.
A small portion will go to the @dashrain or @dashsun to encourage new contributors and welcome people.
Donations will be given to support members answering questions on mining, masternodes, wallets, and general questions on slack, reddit, or other feeds in the support channel.
Total amount requested is 225 Dash per month for a 3 month duration.
